I can't answer your other questions, but regarding your stand, it should come with 4 pieces, whether its the old one with the rods or the new one. If it's the new one, there should be two long, low pieces with medallions on them. They go together, medallions facing out, and the two triangular pieces go over the ends of them, where the notches are. See here:

If the joint is too tight for them to go all the way together, might have to sand a bit. But if you only got three pieces total, you're missing one, and you'll need to email SF to let 'em know.

1. Something like LocTite, since it can be released with heat (in case you need to remove it down the road).

2. Battery level can affect color, though more prominently in mixed color LEDs (like yellow, which has green and amber dies, for example). The dies used in the red LEDs, in order to achieve the same brightness as the other colors, are slightly closer to the right of side of the red spectrum, and can appear a bit orange to those who's eyes are more sensitive to red wavelengths. Check out this SF LED color gallery if you aren't sure you received a red LED, though be aware that blade colors are difficult to capture with cameras.

3. They used to, but what you received was the newly redesigned stands that don't require them. The parts simply slot into one another, and have open spots to store extra blade plugs and kill keys.

It seems to be universal to Cree Reds, because even the XP-E2 stars I used on my custom crossguard make a more orange blade than I remember my P4 Red producing.

The ambient light the blade produces is red enough, so it might just be an odd effect of the diffuser and/or polycarbonate.

As for voltage, that and/or current can affect LED color a bit. I did some testing with one-up stars in a US hilt a while back. A 6v battery pack with 2ohm resistor made my Cree Amber look orange and my Rebel Cyan look turquoise. However, a 7.4v lithium-ion pack with a ~900mA LED driver made the Amber look more golden-yellow and the Cyan was a bit bluer. I don't really have any proper technical explanation though.

IGG backer #614 here, yet to receive any notifications from saber forge. Ordered in November. I've been patient so far, but with the increasing number of reviews mentioning missing components and whatnot i'm starting to really lower my expectations :(

Has anyone received their belts, yet? I'm yet to see a belt. Lots of people are also saying their covertec clip dealy is missing.

I was thinking that perhaps a plain old black rubber O-ring might work in place of shims for those who are getting their sabers without shims.

Not having tried it myself, I can't say for sure, but it might be a decent stopgap method given that you don't need exact measurements. My thinking was it might provide a reasonably tight fit, and as long as it doesn't squeeze too much of the rubber out of the joint, it might provide a cool look for the seams.

Just brainstorming here at work while I wait on my emails! :)

You might be on to something. The cree blues in my TFA Graflex have a nice rich color (what I'd call an "electric" blue) but with the blade in they look several shades lighter.

I definitely think you are on to something with it being blade related because when just the blade plug is in it is definitely red and then when I put the blade in its more of a blood orange red

I just looked through the spreadsheet and can't find my name, though I got the e-mail and know I pledged. Might have shown up as anon though. Was actually about to ask how the IGG pre-orders were going for everyone. Thanks guys!

There's a setting on your IndieGoGo profile about whether or not you want your pledges to be public.. You probably had it set to private whenever the spreadsheet info was compiled.

I was hoping to get my saber in time for Comicpalooza on the 18th. There's still a possibility but I'm not holding my breath. I'm just so excited that so many IGG backers have gotten their sabers. I'm IGG #897 so I'm kinda low on the list, but the list has no rhyme or reason so who knows!

Bear in mind that not all of the IGG backers are going to take the time to update their listing on the spreadsheet, so while its a good indicator of how many are out there, it won't be 100% accurate (still mad props goes to gcnywaldork for putting it together). Plus based on a CSR response to a Kickstarter backer, it seems they are sending them out based on what parts are ready.

Yeah, I saw that mentioned above. I'll just keep my fingers crossed that maybe the parts of my saber are available soon. I've just been waiting so patiently for an email. I can't imagine what the KS backers must have felt waiting twice as long. Great things come to those who wait though! So I'll just keep checking my email for that heavenly update that my order has shipped.

I think I may have a bad battery or charger because I had it plugged in for about 18 hours and it is stil flashing read. Also when you do get your saber be very careful with the wiring I just striped the wiring from the LEDs because of the twisting that occurs inside the saber when screwing the parts together. Gonna have to go find an electrician now to strip and resodder the wires back together. For my next saver I will definitely be getting a tier that has the quick charger to try and avoid this issue.

Got my email this afternoon!

" Hello! I am reaching out to you today to let you know your ASP order is nearing completion, and will be shipping out very soon! Your USPS tracking number is:

May the Forge be with you!

Melissa"

Not sure which one of my two $730 kits it is but pretty psyched!

Got my ASP in yesterday.

Sadly, the speaker appears to be bad. :( The blade comes on, and if you hold the button down, you can cycle through the intensity/flicker options, so I know the menu is running, you just can't hear anything. Also didn't get an LED retention screw, or the clocking rings.

There's also the matter of the activation box and pommel being black instead of silver (which I assume is because the "standard" finish was changed at some point between ASP builder and part production), but those I can live with. If nothing else, I'll sand them shiny if I decide it bothers me too much.

Have already emailed customer service about the sound issue and clocking rings. Hopefully we can get things fixed soon, because other than those two things I am thrilled with how my saber turned out. Going to hold off on posting a review until I figure out what to do about the bad speaker.

That's a very nice looking hilt you have there Afadir. Sorry to hear about the issues with it, but it is a beauty nonetheless.

What LED color did you pick Afadir? I like how the bottom half is more black than silver, and then the top half is more silver than black; it's got a bit of a yin-yang vibe to it.

The Reliant switch control box being black is strange, since it doesn't match the version on the prebuilt hilt. .

The amount of issues I'm reading about on this thread alone is getting increasingly concerning...

More so for me as I'm based in the UK, so problems like the shims/charger/screws being missing, or defective components etc aren't going to be a quick thing to resolve

Right there with you. Im trying to stay positive though :)

I've actually got a further complication regarding parts, I requested some parts be swapped after I realised the electronics weren't going to fit in the original design. I was told my order has been changed to reflect my request but you never know till it arrives right?

One of the things I worry about is parts being missing but the customs charge still being calculated by the full price, so id potentially have to pay customs multiple times.

But like I said, benefit of the doubt :) I'm going to try to assume everything is fine and perfect.
