TOPIC: V2 Arbiter, 12W+ Purple Warrior

Just got my next shipment of sabers in today. It was a fun morning... had two hilts, new blades, new LED modules.... ah. It felt just like Christmas. Only better, cause all the presents were MINE! BUAHAH...

Okay. Seriously tho, it was pretty fun.

So, I picked up the new Arbiter v2, had a conversation with Mr. Lane from SF, and asked him what hilt he might recommend for me, told him what I was looking for, what I wanted, and listed off a few hilts I was looking at.... and he suggested the Arbiter. Now, for a couple reasons, this surprised me. One, because I'm clearly asking which hilt to spend some money on, and he had the full opportunity to run me up, and suggest a crossguard, or the grandmaster... which run a little more than the average saber. But instead, he suggested a cheaper option, which to me immediately said he was listening to what I wanted and giving me honest feedback. Which I really, really appreciated. Now, the problem with that was... the V1 Arbiter model just didn't look that amazing to me. I wasn't a huge fan. It looked a little lumpy, like it was put together with whatever pieces were left over, honestly. So I hadn't really got excited about it. I told him as much, and he said "I'll send you a pic of the new one." And then he did, and I was instantly in love. The new streamlined look, the cleaner feel to it, the smoother edges, the windows, the detail... all of this made one spectacular looking saber.

I agreed immediately, and picked out purple for the color... and here it is!

The hilt design is extremely smooth. The edges around the window are a little abrupt, a bit sharp, so I intend to put my sanding bit back on my new dremmel and file those down just a little bit, smooth them off a touch. Other than that, the hilt is fantastic. Very comfortable. I let Daniel also talk me into the 26in blade, and I gotta say.. the 26in in this hilt is just... gravy. As good as it gets. It's so smooth, easy to spin. I took to it immediately. And that color! Pops! Super bright.

I had a 12W purple a while back, and I noticed there was some slight... well. Sections of the blade in which the color didn't mix evenly. With the 12W+, the color is even, and bright, from base to tip. Perfectly smooth, SO much better color blending it's just... ridiculous. Night and day difference.

Did I mention it's bright? Cause it is just stupid amounts of bright. I love it.

All in all, 9.5 / 10. Very very good saber... I really enjoy it. Thank you Mr. Daniel Lane, for recommending it, it fits what I wanted PERFECTLY.

Fantastic! A true work of art. How long did it take to arrive? Did you buy this off Etsy or the saberforge website?

OOOOOOOOuuuuuuu. That new pommel is hawt. I think I'm going to find myself owning all the apprentice sabers soon.

You should have seen the camera. It was freaking out. Those pics are all taken in the same, even lightning and it was blacking out portions trying to adjust to the LED. Redonkulous.

As bright as that purple is just in the photos, I can't imagine how crazy it looks in person.

I also suddenly pity the fool who tries to duel someone with a 12W+ white blade in the dark. Be like fighting with a strobe light.

And I'm not even commenting on that "Wait" time. I'm just gonna stand here with my arms crossed and give you the look.

(Seriously though, you have excellent taste in equipment, my man.)

It was a bit of a lucky circumstance. Right place, right time, and bam! INSTASABAR.

Great looking saber. I have to say, only the Disciple used to strike my fancy from the Apprentice line. But the new Arbiter is looking sharp!

Looks really great, i'm thinking about ordering one this week.

Do you know if that pommel is different than the normal one it comes with? I like yours a lot. The 1 video and other picture I've seen of the V2 model, it is more plain.

Ya know that's a good question. I didn't notice until now when I went back and watched the other video and noticed the differences as well. I'll ask a few people and see what the consensus is and get back to you.

Will that still be a v1, do you have to special order the v2?
