You are correct. When ASP launches there will be no illuminated switches and no in-hilt recharge. The in-hilt recharge I believe is coming in a later expansion, however I heard that SF is going to do away with the illuminated switches altogether. Thanks, that's interesting news. It seems almost unbelievable the illuminated switches might be eliminated. I wonder why. At least the cost and option should be there. |

At least for the ASP side not including AV/in-hilt recharge makes sense. Initially it would take away from the immediate Quick Connect/adaptability that the whole line is designed for. I would imagine that when/if they come out, the electronics may be connected straight to the switch portion of the ASP build. Business wise this would mean they'd probably limit those parts to a select few switch portions.

I would go with option A personally, but regardless of which you choose that is a NICE looking saber design! |

The black anodizing has been a matte finish in the past so I'd suspect it will remain matte.I really like your build! The Epoch emitter is hard to balance with other hilt elements but I think you found a great design. Personally I like a balance of black/silver in my sabers so my vote is for the top pic. |

wow thanks guys! yeap i decided to get the dual tone one. does anyone know if the silver is "shiny" as well? think it may look better with the silver anodized to get more of a contrast but oh well

That emitter and body were in the rotation of designs I was deciding on, but this is what I ended up going with: Not the best saber for dueling or spinning, but I won't be doing too much of that anyway. Will definitely have to sand down where the pommel meets the body so it's closer to being flush. |

the whole thing is around 15 inches for just the hilt, full length is bout 3'10''. That may be a bit too long so I'm looking into some of the other leather bound body parts to shorten it a bit but it'll still be over 12 inches long. Only other part I may change is the pommel, just to have it slightly smaller. The Fallen pommel is the other one I'm looking at, basically the same thing just smaller.
