Was tinkering with my earlier "Adherent" design, and came up with this that I quite liked:
Only problem with flipping Switch 8 is: Control boxes bother me, but that little piece drives me nuts. If that could be kept in the standard orientation, I would actually consider owning this saber. It's just not as exciting with Switch 8 in the standard orientation. |

Nice developments on your design. Regarding the switch guard plate, that bothers me sometimes but I noticed on the Promo picture of the Rebel inspired hilt used to announce the first ASP's to be shipped the plate had been rotated 180 degrees. There appears to be a retention screw holding it onto the switch body, but I am not sure if it really is reversible or was just one of those instances where someone at SF may have tinkered with it. Incoming! Omen (had to use the Sinister Prophecy emitter eventually)  :I still love the resonant design I did much more, but here's a simple pike: Vanguard: I'll have another one in the near future to share. I shall now return to my regularly scheduled studies

I really like the Vanguard, Savannah. It is simple. But it also is elegant. Awesome job on it. Love seeing the 3 versions of it.

Young Padawan, you are strong in the Force and designing Sabers! Vanguard looks eeevil in the BHC black! But I love the use of the two wrapped bodies between the Sinister Prophecy emitters on Omen. Oooooh! Emitters as Pommels, I like those designs. I do like Commander and that you always post the different versions of each Saber design. If I recall correctly a fellow member commissioned a custom Dissident that looks very much like your dual-tone Eclipse (he had to have work done on the emitter and pommels to get the same look) and both yours and his Saber look stunning. That's a nice design, very clean and has a balanced feel to it!
As far as blade colors, what's great about designing your own (and especially with such a nice design you just made) is that just about any available color works well! I'd say go with what you like the most. I haven't seen a bad color/hilt combo on here! I guess if I were to receive this saber in both finishes, I'd probably get medium blue with the standard and indigo with the black. I tend to deviate towards cool colors like blue and green anyway

This is one of the first ones I did and kept coming back to. Ended up ordering the weathered version from the Indiegogo campaign.
After looking through this and the themed hilt thread I decided to do this emitter pommel mod. Hope you like my design I plan on working on more. |
