I'm mostly a standard finish type guy, so I really like that first iteration of Retribution. It goes really well with all those blade colors, too!

Now this is a personal project I have worked on for a friend. Unfortunately the code for the ASP builder doesn't recreate my designs as I configure the parts so I have to post the pics here for the person to see! Oh well hopefully you will all like... For Tyeth, the intended recipient of Brewing Storm must be overwhelmed with such a creation.
 That is a configuration where sensational seems to fall short to describe its beauty.OvrcAHst likes very much. With such a distinguished addition to this thread of infinitely stunning contributions, Thank You. =Ottomatix=, you sweep in and then out again leaving such gestures of deposits. 1, 2, 3 & 4! It's like I've been sucker punched by a 4-hit combo and I'm seeing birds and said birds are seeing stars. If ASP were live right now, somebody would be in a lotta trouble.  Forgive me for overlooking some of the other previews set forward. Missed the first time but definitely not forgotten. I list these because I like these: Realrebelus (Vengeance Emitter one,  that's the only part I recognise);Savannah95 with Unity Standard & Unity Dark and Retribution; For Tyeth, don't know how I missed Royal warrior-both finishes; Adan Valera with (Vigilant Emitter, Switch 4, Dissident Body, Jade Pommel); =Ottomatix= with an anonymous Blue Wrap; Borommakot with another great Thin neck in Inheritor and Beggalloddon 'Nameless' as a nameless Hilt with that aesthetic I gravitate towards the most. I admire you all with your unique 'Tinker-Fu' mastery. |

My latest design:
I call it "Incertus", this is the lightsaber Beggalloddon would wield 
I wanted it to display light and dark side. So i chose some black parts, but also enough metal. For Tyeth, Brewing Storm looks epic! Emitter 7 seems to always look great as a pommel, and the wrapping goes nicely with the hilt finish and blade color!
wilcoVW, welcome back! Goodness you certainly provided a very nice batch of saber designs! I can tell they were all made with the utmost attention to functionality, ease of use, and style! Good work and I hope to see more! |

Hi all,
Just got a message from the intended recipient of Brewing Storm and pleased to say it was warmly received so am happy. Even more so that other members liked it too! To Savannah95, yes I tried to create the look of gathering clouds and the blade and pommel representing the sun peeking through and the weathering and wrap representing the clouds. I haven't made many designs with the weathered finish, I usually do a Lightside or Darkside (BHC!) version, so I had a bit of adventure for a change! Thanks for your comments, always appreciated. To wilcoVW, a nice collection of hilts and a clever inventive positioning of the switch section on the Amber saber. Did you line the switch like this so that it can be operated by your Index (first) finger instead of your thumb? If so, that is unique! I also like the Red clawed design, it is nice and not too long but still has the claws to give it menace. Thanks again to everyone, For Tyeth |

Thank you both for the compliments. I've spent several hours switching parts around until i found combinations that really worked for me, the main objectives being that the design of the hilt should fit with the blade colour, and the body should be reasonably smooth, no weird projecting parts so i can get a good grip with both hands if necessary (you can imagine i'm not a fan of the control boxes or bodies with heavy lengthwise ridging)
As for the switch section on the Amber, it's simply the way the ASP builder positions it: buttons on the same face as the pointy end of the emitter (which i want to hold facing my body, looks cooler IMHO), in position for operation by thumb. I'd prefer the switches on the opposite side so i can rest the thinner part between thumb and index finger, and operate the switch with index. I'll keep coming up with new stuff, but it may take a while. Also, i'm quite looking forward to expansion of the parts selection in the builder. Gives me more options.

wilcoVW, Amber be thy name. I recognise the Vengeance Emitter. With that inclusion I am sold. I am a sucker for and have an undying fascination for it. Your assembly from emitter to pommel has great fluid continuity. Great design. Ordinarily I too would enquire about the BHC Edition as MHM so righteously commented but as it stands forth exact to how you have presented it, the inclusion as a black variation would undoubtedly result to me wanting one of each.
