Hi all,

About a week ago, I told fellow member samross04 that I would look into designing some Sabers to represent the United States Air Force, Navy (Naval Academy) and the other armed forces. Well this is my next contribution.

Firstly I have to say thank you to =Ottomatix= for showing me how I might build this with his Wayner-Rang Bat plane saber.

I thought what would you get if you combined TWO Air Force jets, namely the SR-71 Blackbird and the Next Generation F-22 Raptor? I think it may look like this:

Stealth JP-7:

I hope it demonstrates the "Old" and "New" Air Force power!

Did someone mention Poke`mon? For Tyeth, a reference chart for you.

Gotta Catch 'em All!

I have been hit with Confusion Attack*, so can only sit idly by and express awe and amazement to the creations that are born from here. (*I've mentioned in the past that I cannot use the Builder site due to ridiculously slow part insertion speeds)

Hey OvrcAHst,

Don't ya want your Pokémon? Sorry I don't know his name, I don't watch many episodes but obviously I'm missing something!

So here is my last contribution before calling it a day,

OvrcAHst's Pokémon Pet

The emitter is the duck bill, the Pommel represents the creature's hairstyle and the grip is yellow as is the little guy (to be honest there aren't a lot of design cues, Pokémon are meant to be plain and cute I guess!)

One final thing, I have gotten hold of a 3d design package and I'm gonna learn how to use it over the next few weeks, so I can design my own sabers...

I hope you like this one OvrcAHst,

Did somebody say Pokemon?

My favorite (and old forum name), Gyarados

Relic pommel and Reborn body representing the powerful tail, exile switch (because why not), Vengeance emitter to look like its almost always open mouth, and cyan LED because I couldn't pick a blue that matched, so I went for the color of his forehead crest.
Last Edit: 1 day 11 hours ago by Jaden Korr. Reason: gif

Hi all,

Now you see I missed all this Pokemon stuff as I had the Sega Game Gear (and the television adapter!) So I had Mortal Kombat, and a rather nifty Star Wars game. It could also play the Megadrive back catalogue.

All I can say is I hope you round 'em all up when you're finished!

Jaden, I love that Gyrados hilt! Nailed it.

I put together a trio for you, Pokemon #7, #8, and #9 (my favorite starter evolution).

Squirtle; with Bubblebeam-esque emitter, shell-like reptile wrap, and puffy tail pommel.

Wartortle; with ear like emitter, and other continuing cues

Blastoise; rockin' the cannon emitter, extended shell body, and squatty little tail pommel.

I LOVE the idea of evolution pokemon sabers. Works since some pokemon evolve 1 time, and others 2 times.

The trio at the beginning of it all, #1, #2, and #3, emphasizing their symbiotic growths in the emitters, stubby legs in the pommels, and leathery toughness in the bodies.

Bulbasaur

Ivysaur

Venusaur

OvrcAHst he came, he saw, he liked. A perfect representation of PsyDuck! With humour, I saw the Ducks webbed and pointed toes in your Pommel rather than the sprouts of hair atop his head. :lol:

@Jaden Korr, that depiction of your Gyarados is spot-on!
Seeing that animated Pikachu instigated some laughter. Reminds me of the video I posted over in Something New! Thread. Leaves me Warm and Fuzzy after every viewing. It's a Happy Dance after all, right?

@NeBosa
That's some exceptional storage and preservation for a 20 year old. Looks brand spanking new and barely used. Maybe this can work via a lending Programme in Trading Post section where it can be swapped with ArtistFormerlyKnownasIan's Charizard? It doesn't edge him closer to the Hilt acquisition though. :dry:

@Borommakot
I like yet another Trilogy you have created there. I personally favour Squirtle and am virtually squinting, imagining a stream of water into my face. I read that you've created 71 (possibly more now) Hilts. Talk about spoilt with choice. I would go nut's trying to create a shortlist from that and I think you wrote you've got it down to 7 or has that number changed now? :P

@MHM
Much like ASP Kickstarter Campaign, allows millions of combinations. I reckon Pokémon appreciators are many out there. Some that are open about it, some within their own confines but publicly denies and some who may have forgotten they did and have just remembered. My recollection is poor with this reference, but wasn't there a 'sacred' one called Onyx? (to represent MHM's BHC)

@ OvrcAHst
I remember buying this brand new back in 1996 the day it was originally released. I got blue and my good friend at the time in high school got red. That way we were able to link gameboys and trade for pokemons as each version came with a few different characters to catch making it necessary to trade in order to 'catch them all.' It was also the only reason I even had the gameboy. They don't carry a high value and I don't think they're something I would trade away.

Is that Yellow one yours or a generic image reference? I just noticed it's a Colour Version.
Don't even want to think about how long ago mine was, just remember it was a brick, grey exterior and monotone screen. Played Tetris to death (and Tennis) and linked 2 player on 5 hour bus rides on school overnight excursions to the Caves.

No generic image here sir. That's an actual photo of my gameboy and cartridge :-)

I had the old grey brick one with the green screen also many years before that one. I wasn't much for hand held or computer gaming tho. I always preferred consoles, though I rarely play video games anymore.

Thanks! I think the Squirtle one is my favorite, too. The Blastoise one might be better served as a staff. But yeah, of the (85 now) hilts I've put together in ASP, there are about 7 I'm seriously interested in purchasing. 3 are hilts that will be introduced in Trials, and I fully intend to buy, while the others are hopeful. I actually want to keep my saber collection kind of small; I think it feels more special that way. Interestingly, the majority of the sabers I've made have been themed ones, but only one of them would make the shortlist, and even that I'd consider exchanging for a basic (or ASP) SF Fallen.

:lol: That's actually the extent of my hand-held Gaming also. I agree with your with your comment about consoles. I have a 360 sitting behind a glass door cabinet not doing anything other than sitting. I typically play Driving Simulation/Related games but honestly cannot remember when the last time was.
Maybe I'm missing something here. You wrote that you bought a Blue GB and your mate bought a Red GB. It's a Yellow one that's pictured? That's why I enquired if it were a general image reference. Not to worry, back to Themed Sabers...

@Borommakot
An intimate and conservative collection is a good thing, your wallet will thank you for the restraint. How do you define small though? :P
Acknowledging the Themed ones. I still remember how quick you were to create some configurations when I mentioned the Power rangers a while back.
Eagerly awaiting the next Part to Trials.

No, Pokemon was originally released in two variations (blue and red) My actual cartridge as pictured is blue and his cartridge was red. The gameplay itself was exactly the same. The only difference in the two versions was a small variation in which Pokemon you could find and catch. So if you wanted to fill your pokedex of all 150 it was necessary to link and trade so that you can get the ones which were not available on whichever (red or blue) version you purchased. A year later they released a Yellow version cartridge.
yes... now back to our regularly scheduled programming...
