Allow me to introduce my ASP, the Krayt's Breath. This is the first (although not the last) saber I have bought.

With the blade plug in does it cover the windows on the emitter? I am getting the same one!

Awesome hilt LordKnyght. This will look great once you get electronics. What LED do you have planned for this? Also what switch section is that. Glad I found this post, let me bring this to the top of the list where it belongs!

That is a gorgeous Hilt. How comfortable is it? Looks long, I love the sleek look of it!

LordKnyght, it's like you've snuck this Review in under the radar :P
(more than likely though judging from your Post count, the 'reveal' was being processed)
ASP is quite the marvellous outlet. Whilst I have difficulty accessing the site let alone navigating it to configure Hilts it certainly doesn't make me shy away from great designs that come out from it. I really like the subtlety of the Pommel and the way it follows its continuity along the two grip sections.
As =Ottomatix= queried, what switch section is that? I've always thought the inclusion of the switch section was prominently placed however yours is quite the opposite and IMO more effective. The extended length just optimises what is already loved about the Venom with its claws and the windows. I want to guess and say it's overall length is just shy of 16". Nice configuration. Coincidence I'm sure, between this and (I think the Themed Hilts Thread),
For Tyeth
had something referencing Batman with the claws or maybe it was the reconnaissance Droid from SW and its spider legs in ESB.

Nicely Done.

You seem to have created my favoured quality of Cross-guard Hilts with the extra length, completely absent the two side emitters and the actual cross-guard. Very menacing and furthermore with something like a 40" Blade, very dominating.
Great one. Am sure you're proud of it.

Hi LordKnyght,

Congratulations on a fantastic Saber! It looks wicked in all senses of the word.
I too look forward to seeing this beast fully operational!

I hope it serves you long and well,

For Tyeth

Is the switch section the Vigilant BTW?

Looks like a great design and sounds like you're happy with the quality.

Glad to hear it will not be your last.

How'd you come up with the name?

  • Fear is not real. It is the product of thoughts you create. Danger is very real, but fear is a choice.

Oh snap, this looks brutal bro, really menacing. Nice job indeed. Congrats on being an ASP owner
Light and darkness, you cannot have one without the other. To achieve equilibriem you must be in harmony with both; the path between.

Wow I'm gone for a few days and the ASP reviews start rolling in (maybe I should be absent more often)! Looks great, and it makes me wonder if I should have gone all black with my ASP saber instead of weathered (mine has a similar aesthetic).

Now THAT is an interesting hilt! Do my eyes deceive me, or are there two body sections on that beauty?

I think it uses the Vigilant's switch, which is a longer part.

No they didn't, but if its only the hilt without electronics there may not be too much to say.

What a badass hilt. Love how it's a single colour. How's the weight on it considering its length?

Sorry about the delay, been a hectic week so far. To answer a few of the questions:

It already has the Amber led, but I am still waiting on the battery to arrive so no lights yet. I chose the color before the saber so it would feel like a balance of light and dark. Yes, I do plan on building another twin, although I don't know if it will be dark like this one.

Krayt is the beast that some crystals grow in on Tattooine and with its menacing look, it felt right to name her after such a magnificent beast.

Length is 16" and will be comfortable as either a single or duel weilder.

As for the parts, I will have to dig up my list.

And finally, I love the feel and look of it. It's more than I ever expected.
