So happy with my new Bastion. Very sleek and elegant hilt, very Battle Standard-esque, only took 15 days to arrive. Somehow got upgraded to a Kill Key and Recharge port, so thank you to whoever instituted that! Also got 2 Elite blade plugs instead of 1 apprentice blade plug, another huge bonus, Thank you!!!!!

Great unboxing and review! I've got a Prodigal Son on order from 12/30/15. Can't wait for that. On the note of your saber though, it looks absolutely fantastic and congratulations!

When did you order, how did you get a bastion so fast? I ordered a month before these were able to be purchased and haven't even gotten an email update yet.

I don't understand this process..... What tier did you order? My anecdotal evidence so far suggests that lower tiered sabers are getting filled sooner than higher tiers of the same type, ordered around the same time. (Which makes sense really.) |

I kept a solid relationship with both the sales team and customs department, I guess that really helped. People underestimate the power of a good conversation, it can really go a long way.

Like I said in the video, I ordered February 21, 2016 (the day the new apprentice sabers came out). The package arrived March 7th, 2016, 15 days later. I kept a good relationship with both sales and customs, I guess it really helped!

That was for fulfilling ASP orders. I don't think it applies to regular orders. Since it's black, it was ordered through customs, and maybe they get the orders through faster.
This also may be the reason we've not seen any Standard finish Bastions in the review section here. |

Yep. My understanding is that they are sending out the empty hilts while they simultaneously get the electronics kits ready to go.
Since it's black, it was ordered through customs, and maybe they get the orders through faster.

Okay a Black Bastion from SF customs is about a 2 week order tops from payment to saber in your hands. That is how he got it so quickly

I received two 2inch all-black elite blade plugs. They fit quite well, I think the 3.25" would be too large, you could probably ask them to cut it for you. Thanks for the comment! |
