TOPIC: Weathered Disciple (dark red leather) 12w DB

It came. WOW. I am so impressed.

It is so comfortable. The color pops so well even in the daytime.

The attention to detail is amazing. the comfort of the grip and it's balance are amazing. It is the 36" blade. I am surprised how light it is. WOW.

I honestly can't tell if I got a 12w or 12w+ but I am guessing it's the + as they say they have switched. In person I can't tell the color either. It might be deep blue, but I think I need to spend more money order more blues to compare.

My saber list just got a LOT longer.

I kept it on for about .5 hours and it got a little warm. Nothing to worry about.

Also, I am very impressed with Phillip Isherwood. I am a member of the facebook page, and was trying to make people laugh a little, and some people really got offended over some innocuous pics I posted of my sabers as well as my blasters. Phillip CRUSHED the rebellion, as it were, and told people to calm down and posted some of his own pics of his blasters. His politics are right on. I WILL be buying from him again.

Looks beautiful! Can you take some up close pictures of the hilt/weathering, unlit? I'm considering weathering for my first round of ASP parts, and if I can be sure they're consistently like the ones shown in the recent photo updates, that'll clinch it for me. That blue is...glorious!

Shiz, Nice one and Congrats on a successful delivery! It is known I lack the appreciation of Wrapped Grips however slowly I am being influenced and with this Review of yours, increasingly so. Having often skipping past the Disciple, I agree with your comment, now as it's growing on me which similarly means my list is also becoming longer.
I can't confirm whether the LED is a + or a standard 12 or if the Colour is indeed Deep Blue, nonetheless, a great looking Saber and I'm sure you're proud of the recent receipt. Good on you!

Agreed! Love that wrap! I intend to use that color on a future solid black saber.

My only wish, that the custom shop was open so they could have done all black. This one still rocks though. 10 out of 10.

The more I look at it, the more it doesn't look deep blue. maybe my eyes are playing tricks. Whatever color it is, it's perfect.

Wow, that is a beautiful Saber! I wasn't sure about the red colour for a wrap, I was worried it would be too "cartoony", but you've shown it's absolutely beautiful against a darker finish.

I love the Disciple! Of the now old apprentice models, it was easily my favourite. But now with the new ones, if I could change my order without losing my place in the queue (specially since I'm waiting for two months now) I think I would choose an oracle.

But anyway, great combination! i think this is the first time I'm seeing the red leather. =)

Really like the red leather wrap with the weathered hilt combo you have there. It looks stunning and the deep blue is gorgeous to look at like always.

I am still loving the wrap. It did start to come off a little so I gorilla glued it and it's as new. The wrap is so comfy. I am seriously thinking of going to the local leather shop and wrapping it in real leather.

My son's came the day after mine did. I asked him if I could see it and promptly dropped it on the asphalt. Thus the battle damage. I felt so bad I offered to trade for mine or install sound in his or upgrade the LED. (his is 6w+) I light still trade his battery pack out for a 18650.

His LIME GREEN is amazing and is brighter than I thought a 6W+ would be. It is beautiful.

December 26th. It came last week. Now I am waiting on a 12w indigo led and 32" blade from SF. I like the 36" for dueling, but the 32 is quicker.

I am dying for the indigo.

I really love the dark and red mix on your saber, it's pretty badass. I wasn't a fan of the red leather wrap, but seeing that combination makes me somehow like it a bit. Congratulations on your purchase my friend, sick looking little thing.
