I'm also new to this, I just ordered a disciple initiate level and pretty much just got the cheapest one with the best looks, as I never purchased a saber before but i've seen so many positive reviews on SF, however my main question is, I live i Orange County, CA and I wanted to know how long does it usually take to get a saber especially if it's just the hilt?

Unfortunately this order was part of the lost batch of sabers. The bright side is, we got everything sorted out and I reordered a new saber! IF this thread is to remain open, I just want to point out that SaberForge's customer service is top notch. I know they had a little hiccup with an influx of inquires during December/January (took a few days to get a response), but my emails always got replied. When it came to the refund process, they were replying me within minutes. Anyways, I actually went with the Exhalted instead this time. While waiting, the Exhalted just grew and grew on me. The thin necks always grabbed my attention, but like many, I found the switch box a little annoying. I figured since I already had a Graflex (which also has a switch box), I went with the boxless thin neck! SO with that, expect an Exhalted review hopefully in the next few weeks!! |

it's a shame that the "lost orders" happened. Brightside, can't wait for your Exhalted review. Won't ask the specs it was ordered in, since I'm waiting for my order anyway, will happily wait til the Post happens. Great choice with Saber. |

Haha thanks Brax. I remembered you mentioned it was one of your favorite hilts?? Correct me if I'm wrong! @OvrcAHst I don't mind sharing. I got it in Champion, weathered, 12w green. (Not sure if all orders are now standard 12w+ yet...). I was going for that fallen/lost saber with the weathering. Can't wait to see how it turns out! And it's official! Got an email reply saying the replacement order got added as a rush order! Hopefully I'll have it Mid February!! I might eventually still want to pick up the Epoch...its so beautiful!! |

The general consensus appears to be 12w = 12w+ based from all the posts made recently even though it's with the absence of denying or confirmation from CSR. I doubt you'd be disappointed. And hey, (less the drama surrounding your initial order) it's only 2 weeks away. I'd be going bonkers!
I've always had a quiet appreciation for the weathered finish Exhalted. When I first became a member to this Forum I saw a Post by someone having to sell a weathered crystal reveal exhalted in Blue. Have been in love since. With a 12w green, it's going to look friggin awesome. A lot of reviews tend to favour the standard finish. Way-to-go for going against the grain. Am eager for the hands-on experience for my incoming weathered Exhalted also. Without revealing too much, until I do the review (continuation), based on the preview pics I've seen, am flipping out! A fine selection Good-Sir. |
