Yeah definitely man! We've got the foundations of a group right here so it'll just be a matter of finding more people. Through the power of the internet, word of mouth, and the two cons in Asheville this year I bet we could have a sizable saber/jedi/sith academy/group/meetup thing in no time! In the mean time two couples is better than nothin haha

I told my dad about me ordering these and he immediately thought back to when I was 12 and we made a couple of hilts out of plumbing parts and tried to fit em with PVC for dueling. The blades never worked out, and the hilts looked as cheap as they were but it was still fun. Now that I'm getting these it's piqued his interest, I'm going to try and convince him to let me come over to his shop on the weekends and try to put together some stuff.

I think if I could make some cheap dueling hilts, with at least the LED's and a retention screw for the blade, that I could outfit a lot of my friends so they can get into this hobby on the cheap side and we'd have more sparring partners! Over time they'd be envious of our amazing, quality hilts and would probably get some of their own...it's just a thought but all of this has really sparked the kid in me that always wanted to build props and costumes lol

I'm with you there. I've also got a couple of spare US that I'd lend to some people. My only problem is, right now, I work 6 days a week. I'm hoping to go to 12 hour shifts some time soon, so I'll have some extra time off. Hoping my schedule will fall on one of the 2 cons this year.
I also need a better dueling saber from SF. I've got the current model Epoch, champion. It's a beautiful hilt, but it cuts my hands to ribbons.

My wife's is gonna be an Epoch and I've read about that. I think I'm just gonna sand it down. My main squeeze is gonna be the Venomous Fury in red [but with quick connects cuz I think it'd look great as a Jedi saber, too] I also work full time, but I always have Sundays off and I can usually request off in advance and get whatever days I need. Looking up the group now!

Guys! I really suggest you sign up for the Saberforge Duelist finder! You can specify how far you want to look for people and it will only get better the more people use it!

Unfortunately, I do not. I only use the app on my phone. I'll change the group to public from closed and see if that will fix the search problem. Give it another shot, and let me know what happens. We'll get this thing started. I've been trying for too long.
