Hello, I'm glad I have found this website on facebook, that sponsored ad really help :P

You have some awesome designs and I would love to acquire the Venomous Fury and an extra saber for my GF to play with.

The issue is that the price to buy two Champions are very high for me. Is there some way to buy firstly the Warrior Edition and incorporate later an upgrade like the 3400mah battery or soundboard to the hilt? If yes. how that would be done?

Also, do you ship to Argentina or Chile?

Hi Andrewzz, welcome to the forum!

SaberForge does offer upgrades from the warrior class to champion class, although I seem to recall reading on a previous post somewhere that not all sabers are eligible for this upgrade for some reason. But I believe most of them are. The cost of upgrading from a 12W warrior (lights only) to a 12W champion (lights and sounds) is $150, plus shipping. Generally, to request such an upgrade, you'd email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and tell them what upgrade you'd like, and then they'd arrange for you to make payment via PayPal for the upgrade and you'd ship your saber(s) to their address with an RMA form filled out from their website, then they'd finish the upgrade within a week or so and ship it back. In the continental US, the customer pays for shipping to SaberForge, SaberForge covers shipping back to the customer. I'm not entirely sure how upgrades and shipping work for international customers, however.

I'm assuming that since you asked about shipping to Argentina or Chile that you are not living in the US, in which case the shipping on two sabers would be pretty expensive. In the end, if you ordered two warriors now and then wanted to upgrade them later by shipping them back and forth, you'd probably end up spending just as much as just ordering two champions now and only paying for shipping once.

One thing to keep in mind is that SaberForge will be offering lots of Black Friday deals this week. Every day this week they will be posting some great saber deals (up to 30% off) on their Facebook page, and the SaberForge website also runs a lot of sales throughout the year. So you may want to consider saving up for both champion sabers and then waiting for a good sale before buying them :)

Hope this info helps!

Thanks for your answer Mario, greatly appreciated.

What I was thinking, instead of RMAing the two sabers and shipping them back and forth, to order the soundboard and kind of doing the upgrades myself with some tutorial or something like that. I would like to know if that is possible and if yes, how hard is to do it.

Ah, I see. Yeah that's definitely possible. I've done several conversions and scratch builds myself, and I would have been lost if it weren't for the extremely helpful threads at The Custom Saber Shop. I highly recommend checking them out to learn how to do the electronics yourself :)

Something to keep in mind is that only a few soundboards can run a 12W LED at full power. The sabercore viridian and sabercore crimson that SaberForge offers on their champion builds can power a 12W, but I'm not sure what other soundboards do. Certainly the SaberForge soundboard is the cheapest soundboard that can handle the 12W, but that's not available on their shop website yet, you'd have to contact them directly and see if they can sell it to you later on. If you wanted to install a much cheaper soundboard like the $60 nano biscotte v2, you'd have to get a 6W warrior saber from SaberForge because the nano biscotte can't power a 12W as far as I am aware.

Also, if you haven't already, be sure to "like" and turn on notifications in SaberForge's Facebook page. They'll be posting TONS of Black Friday quick ship sabers tonight and tomorrow :) you may just get lucky and find one that fits what you're looking for.

And if you go with a different board like DarthMario was explaining, the 6w LED is pretty bright too. I upgraded my daughter's US saber to a 6w from the store and it's hella brighter than it was before. Granted, the 12w is insanely bright (blindingly so in fact), but you won't be disappointed with the 6w either.
