I know if you open your saber up and modify the internals it voids your warranty. My question is what about personalizing the exterior of the hilt will this void your warranty as well?

Warranty policy on the website states "Do not attempt to modify or repair your saber yourself, that will void your warranty."

This applies to exterior, aesthetic modifications as well as internal electronic work.

Mario, would switching LED's if you've got quick connects installed count as modifying?

Want:

No. I specifically asked Phil this a while ago. Using quick disconnects does not void warranty. It's the same kind of "modification" as unscrewing the pommel, moving the speaker aside, and removing the microSD card from a hero level saber. It is designed to be removed as part of its function. Thus removing quick disconnect LEDs does not void warranty :)
