It's hard to take a picture of the actual look but in person there is a glow around the blade and it almost hurts to look directly at it. It is a shade darker in the middle than when captured on camera. The arctic blue is awesome. The only thing I have to compare it to is a US grab bag that is a different shade of blue. I am really impressed at how bright it is and I think the arctic blue was a good choice. If I buy another saber it is going to be really hard to pick another color. It's on the lighter side which I think gives it a real close appearance to movie sabers in person. I am interested in indigo, cyan, and red though...

May I ask what finish your apprentice plug is in?
Silver or Dual Tone?
Can you take a pic of just the plug?

The plug I believe is duel tone. I can put a picture of it up soon. Silver in the center black ring outer.
