Hey, guys.

Sorry it's been a while, but I finally have a new review for everyone. Here it is: the Guardian. I won't state the obvious, rest assured, but, for a hilt that is not supposed to be a licensed replica of the props used in the Star Wars Saga, this was pretty faithful adaptation of the one Liam Neeson used.

The pros of this hilt are:
More than enough room for a two-handed grip
The hilt itself is narrow, which makes it extremely comfortable to hold
The detailing of the saber is beautifully done with solid construction
Very lightweight in comparison to most hilts I've held/had

Cons are:
The aluminum body shroud does not allow for the charger to access the recharge port properly, so the Covertec wheel needs to be removed in order for the shroud to slide up so the hilt can charge.
The twin hook/crescent wave designs on the shroud are pointy and sharp and you can slice or puncture your hand.

Anyways, that's my take on the Guardian. Here's the video review.

Never tire with seeing your Video Intro. Nice inclusion to your arsenal with Guardian. I was convinced you'd have gone for a CR version knowing your research that went into your Ares to be CR or not CR (if only you waited for the Etsy restock ;) ) and the Red Tee is so it's less obvious when you bleed and brown pants for when... Reading your description on YT you reference that it'll be the last for 2016? Didn't you write notso long ago about acquiring a Staff and that your handling efficiency with said Staff is far more superior to single wield or is that the plug to ASP?

With the charger jack needing to be balls deep into the port before it'll work, an alternative to removing the covertech to slide the shroud up is to hack away at part of the plastic insulator housing on the jack so the exposed end is deeper to work in the port.

Does Guardian become your shortest Hilt now between Ares and Katana?
Shall be keeping an eye out for your active demo video. ;)

You can thank Execute66 for that one. Haha. He grabbed the last one before I got the chance. Plus, I couldn't wait as I had to take care of holiday shopping for the family immediately after.

Yes, I did. In 2017, I plan on reviewing three more hilts: an Archon, a saberstaff, and my first ASP hilt before I take a break from reviewing hilts so I can focus more on school and prepare better for expenses that may arise.

Good idea, but not sure if I'd like to risk doing that to a charger.

The Guardian in total length is the shortest of the hilts, being just a split hair shorter than my Wakizashi Katana hilt. As far as grip area goes, it has the second-longest area with the Katana being first and the Ares being third.

Awesome. The red LED switch is a nice touch. Makes me want a Guardian now. Shit.
MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU
