I have a redeemer, and looking to make it more ANH screen accurate with a D-Ring through the sink faucet like bit right near the pommel. I know the warranty says cosmetic things won't void the warranty, but as I would have to drill a 1/8 inch hole through about 1/2" thick of aluminum, I'm not sure how they'd feel about that as a "cosmetic" change due to the amount of material removed. I know it won't structurally effect anything in a negative way, but not sure how they'd interpret this if it were to have any issues later down the road. I suppose I should refer this to customer service to have an official response in writing before actually drilling the hole, but figured I would try to get a little quicker response on here first to see if it's even worth putting in the inquiry with them regarding this.

I don't think that would void the warranty, but it would be best to double check.

I had forgotten the ANH Obi-Wan saber had a D-ring. The Redeemer is based more off the ROTS Obi-Wan (the upcoming Protector is supposed to SF's ANH version) but with a D-ring and even swapping out the activation card for a bubble strip you could make a cool hybrid of the two.

I would definitely get confirmation first. Drilling into your saber, regardless of location, is a fairly invasive modification.
