TOPIC: Second guessing blade colour...

Hey guys new member here, been lurking since before I ordered my sabers but thought I'd take the plunge and join this amazing community!

Anyway, at the end of December I ordered a 12w purple weathered Viper for my brother and two 12w weathered consulars for myself (though I since emailed to change my two to standard because I can't resist dat shine), one in amber and one in cyan, along with a long coupler so I can have a baddass saberstaff. The order hasn't been put in the build queue as yet so I'm thinking I still have time to email with any changes I would like to make.

Though I really love the pictures of cyan and amber sabers I've seen posted on this site, both are quite light colours so I'm starting to doubt myself. I was thinking a staff with two different coloured blades would look better if the colours directly contrasted each other by being opposite-ish on the colour spectrum. So naturally i thought either cyan with blood orange/red, or amber with medium/deep blue, but I'm pretty dead set on amber because that yellowish, goldish orange looks amazing, and I don't really want to go down the sith route with this saber (in a few months though I may buy a really evil looking saber and give it a B.O. or red blade!!).

So i guess what I'm trying to ask everyone is do you think a darker blue would much better compliment amber on the other side of the staff than cyan would? Or am I being silly and should just stick with what was my original gut choice?

Depending on from which of the primary two outlets you ordered from (Main Site or Etsy) and how long ago the order was placed, I'd go with Quick Connects with your first Colour choice. You've already hinted that in a few months you may go an evil looking saber, so get the other two Colours as Quick Connect LED Modules only (come that time) and you can have an evil looking saber without actual getting a different hilt. Works as two individuals for Single or Dual Wield or coupled as a staff and potentially up to 4 different colours to interchange between them.
If that's not an option, let chance decide and try a Round-Robin Elimination by coin toss to determine your primary two colours and the secondary two.

In terms of changing colors, if you are unable to, then it might not be a huge deal. You will become addicted to your saber once it arrives and will crave more, and different colors. It is a matter of time before you own several sabers with several colors

Ok, I didn't get what the quick connect option was for. It's for changing the led color.
