TOPIC: Thank You SF Customer service !

I emailed SF sales this morning checking my order status which I placed on 12/24/15. They emailed me back this afternoon! same day! very happy about that.. I was told that they are waiting on a part for my hilt
and that as soon as they get it, I will get my build que status I will continue to practice patience and thank you SF for a quick reply and updating me on my order.. you guys rock,, keep up the great work!

ah man,,, I didn't know about the grenades sections... sounds like we are in the same boat .. well stay strong ! hopefully we will get them soon

good to hear some positive feedback about CS. All I had heard up to this point was negative.

I'm over 8 weeks as well. Actually in another day I will hit exactly 9 weeks and i'm still only sitting in confirmed. I ordered on Dec 27th so I'm close to you Crain but i ordered an Epoch Champion so I don't know what the hold up is. I knew about them having to wait on an order for grenade sections and that affected any sabers with a grenade part but the Epoch has no such part.

Oh well, I guess if it gets closer to 10 weeks with no change i'll shoot an email. I sure am glad I broke down and ordered an Ultrasabers guardian after waiting through the first awful 2 weeks here. I was pacing the house like crazy and I would be going absolutely insane by this point since my saber is pretty late now. Having my US guardian to play with completely broke the "saber urge" and I could wait forever for all i care.

lol I hear you Jbeem.... I feel like pacing around like a caged tiger sometimes... I ordered a grab bag saber from US... if I get it before my Exhalted, at least I can start practicing spinning, since I don't know much..

You know on a funny note,, I recently ordered a midgrade blade from VV (and 2 blade plugs) so I can compare brightness once I get my SF sabers, and I got it the other day and they use the same SF packaging so when I got home it look like a saber... lol but I knew it was just the VV blade... so I walk around swinging a blade no hilt to keep my sanity

Either way, the fact that I actually *have* a saber instantly cured the saber fever I was experiencing during the first two weeks of waiting for this order. Good for you ordering a grab bag. You'll see when you get it, it will make you very happy and you won't be so worried about your order here any more.

Although at this point, your saber from here is about due anyway so you've already made it through the wait with no saber. You're truly stronger than I am! I caved and went to Ultrasabers at week 2 of waiting!

Its now officially 9 weeks exactly so hopefully I get the build queue email any day now.

Had a conversation with our label guy today on lead times.

I'll try to break it down as easily as I can for everyone on lead times here...

Our goal (which we initially met) was to lower lead times on the main site to 6-8 weeks. Historically speaking, in the previous few years, this is our "downseason" - slowest time of the year. However... this year's down season is akin to two years' ago busiest season.

HOWEVER! Good news is on the horizon. This coming week, our new (expanded) machine shop is finally getting going, AND our sudden surge in production is no longer running us out of supplies over and over again. We have supplies coming in to cover a month or so in advance now, and with all levels of production increasing, our output should be able to increase easily to 300 sabers per day within the next couple of weeks, which means we turn that battle back around, and get lead times nipped out completely.

Now! Many people have heard lots of rumors from Facebook about Etsy as well, so instead of creating a new thread somewhere else, I'll just slap this update into this thread, and do everything at the same time. The Etsy shop IS coming down soon and being put into vacation mode for a while. During which, the only way to place an order will be on the main site. We will be using this time to clear out the Etsy que COMPLETELY and when our Etsy shop reopens, it will be with some changes that will result in very much shorter lead times. More details coming on this in the near future.

Etsy store closing? That's sad. Main site ordering is impossible for me at the moment...but seeing as I can't afford one at this time anyway, that's ok. Good to here it will be making a comeback. It makes sense, really. With orders coming in from multiple sources it must make keeping track of things that much harder. Good luck, SF. Here's hoping by the time Etsy opens again I'll have the coin to spend. Thanks for the updates, Knytiri.
