Unsettling news Knytiri (Joshua). I thank you for your words of gratitude to (us) however to be accurate through interpretation and interaction, the gratitude is more from me (us), deservingly to you. Like a flock without their shepherd your contributions made here at the Forum and within Saberforge itself (both publicly known to us and not) have been valuable.

You are The Destroyer of Spam-Bots and the worthy wielder of The Hammer.
Many Padawans and Apprentices alike have lost a great Master and as disorienting as it may be, your presence and all actions surrounding it will sorely be missed.

I do hope progress and developments achieved from ASP Kickstarter, Fan Fiction RPG, Site updates, Store Expansion, Customer Emails (not all but to name a few) will continue to be driven forward with the momentum you generated and not be faltered.

Banning him from the forums is a really childish thing to do. Ok so hes not working at saberforge anymore. Making him a regular forum member would have been the proper thing to do. Just because hes not working there doesn't nessecarily mean he would never want to post here ever again. I mean Im sure hes still a saber fan.

It's a sad thing to hear as Knytiri was one of the the factors that made me stick around here when I first joined long before he started working for Saberforge proper. He will be missed.

Banning/deleting accounts is actually a fairly common practice for businesses. As much as it sucks to lose Knytiri, he could (if he so chose) misrepresent his former employer by posing as an official spokesman for the company on the forums. This could, in turn, hurt business and SF's reputation. Not saying he would, but the potential is there. This is why most companies do not allow former employees to maintain company-issued email addresses.

Guys... Delano80 registered on March 6th, 2015, and has posts going back to over 6 months ago. Can we put the pitchforks away now?


That being said, it is unfortunate that things turned out this way. He kept this boat afloat amongst a sea of spambots, had to deal with all of the "what's taking the ASP so long?" negativity, and created new topics that have reinvigorated the forum.

It is always sad to see people lose their jobs willingly or not. It is interesting to speculate on the disagreement between SF and Knytri. With him being such an advocate for you all and caring as he did... What fundamental difference could they have had that would cause him to leave? Interesting.
