Hello saber forge community I have just got my warrior acolyte red and having fun with it.it is a really nice saber but, it worked perfectly fine until yesterday when I had to charge it the light on the charger would not light up and I tried charger last night and my saber wouldn't turn on. I've got it to stay one for one or two minutes but then it turns off and that was after charging it for around three hours. I've already emailed saber forge but they won't email black until a few days later so any thoughts on what should I do? Any advice helps thx.

Did you placed the battery on the charger the right way? I don't want to be mean but this looks like your battery just didn't charged up!

Surely a problem with the charger itself then because the light should be red while charging, then green when charging is completed! I think your best bet is to wait for Saberforge to answer my friend!

So ive been messing around with it lately and randomly it turned on the off but then it started blinking the blade kept turning on and off. Would that be a problem with the wiring in the saber or just the battery being low and my charger light still isnt on so it could be the charger im not sure which. Anything helps thx

Without seeing it, I'm really loathe to comment, but my suspicion is it's one of two things:

Snapped wiring, hanging on by a thread and regularly connecting/ unconnecting.

Damaged board, something precious on your board is broken.

Honestly, I would stop fiddling for fear of making it worse and get the RMA with Saberforge sorted.

Sorry.

Sorry.

Luckily the board is a Warrior tier so I don't think there's a soundboard in the saber to get damaged. Still, it's probably a good idea to not touch it too much so the saber can be examined by SF.

Easiest explanation would be that the charger might not be working and the battery may be on the very border of the PCB shutoff voltage. That may explain why the battery was initially running for increasingly shorter time periods until it began to fluctuate between on/off. If you leave it like that long enough I bet the voltage will fall to a point where it doesn't turn on at all anymore. In this case the issue would be with the charger only, or with the power socket you are plugging the charger into. Try changing to a different outlet for charging and see if that helps, if you haven't already.

More complicated explanation- the PCB on the battery is damaged. Since it controls current flow through the battery, that might explain why it's not charging or discharging energy. The solution here would be to replace the battery, which SF would do if that is the issue.

Most complicated explanation- the charger AND the connections on the hilt are faulty. In this case the battery has enough voltage to run, but cannot charge because the charger or outlet is not working properly. The battery would also have erratic behavior because a loose cable- possibly loosened when charging the battery- is constantly making and breaking contact. In this case you may notice more erratic behavior if you shake the blade while running.

D'oh! Totally misread that tier! Thought we were talking in-hilt charging.

Yep, absolutely what Snakeeyz99 said. Battery or charger damaged.

Do the chargers charge other types of battery, or are they specific to the kind of battery you get with a warrior tier? I'm just thinking about testing whether it's the battery or the charger. If you can charge another battery with that charger, it eliminates the charger as the problem. (Don't just whack any old battery in there though...) Anybody with more experience want to weigh in here?

Also, eliminate the power outlet by plugging in a lamp/ fan etc. just to make sure the outlet is a happy bunny.

Also also: what are the contacts on the charger like? Are they sprung? Do they make snug connection to the battery?
