I'm planning on getting a acolyte saber but I do not know what blade length to get I am 5'0" and I was thinking about 32" but I'm afraid when I try to do spins and what not it will hit the ground

They offer a 26" blade that I have seen Daniel Lane favoring more of late, so it is an officially endorsed option by one of the greats! Also, with an Apprentice level saber, which tend to be slightly smaller than the Elite sabers, a 26" blade might actually be a better match for balance as well.

I just ordered a Consular, and a 26" blade with it, so I am not just paying lip service to my recommendation. :)
Imagine what you will know tomorrow....

I'm 5'7 and ordered a 32" with my Epoch. The hilt is fairly heavy and just shy of 13" itself, and is just about manageable.
With My fiancées 26" from her consular its lighter and ideal. I'd go 26" if I could choose again.

Hi Bob3367, Brax,

I am 6 feet tall and have the Disciple (wrapped Acolyte) and the 32" blade and holding the hilt at my hip the blade just clears the floor by 1-1.5in so if you are considering spinning then the 26" blade is the way to go. You will also benefit as the blade will require less effort to spin it and because the blade travels a shorter distance, it will spin more quickly and be more balanced whilst doing so.

Hope this helps,

For Tyeth

Yeah, at 5' a 26" is probably gonna make you the happiest. It will provider a better balance and easier to spin like everyone says. Your 32" blade for you would be more if you want a strength blade for two-handed or hand-and-a-half wielding.

Of course, they are pretty reasonable so you can ordered three different lengths for different occasions.
