So, seen a lot of people wondering what the differences are. While I can't quite do a side-by-side YET as my new indigo saber isn't here just yet... I can do references from a weathered avenger in indigo i had vs my current custom saber in purple. So!
Indigo:   Purple:   If you look, the indigo is a deeper, richer purple, and has a blue cast-off light from it. Whereas the purple is more... light purple, and has a more red/pink cast-off light to it. |

Yeah, I think that'll help illuminate (ha... get it... pun!) the difference even better. I realize it's a bit hard to tell them apart from those pictures, but there IS a difference, especially in the life of the blade color itself, which is hard to capture on camera to begin with. But I will do my best to, once I get my other indigo saber in. =D

Indigo. All of mine will be indigo from here on out, its a fuller color, a bit richer and deeper than the standard purple.

what is the color mix? Purple is deep blue and red right?

Yeah, they use four dies to achieve their color mixes, regular purple is 2 blue, 2 red. Indigo is 3 blue, 1 red.

Can't wait to see the side by side, but thanks a lot for putting this together. I played it safe and went deep blue for my first saber, because the indigo had just been made an option when I was ordering and wasn't sure about it. This is deff the next sabers color though.

Gonna have to consider this one as a possibility for a future saber. That is nice even in the picture, which never does the color justice.

I had to sell it a long while back, and I've only seen the person I sold it to post one picture of it, which was...
This one. My new custom saber was originally supposed to be 12W Indigo but was changed to a tri-cree set somewhere between purple and indigo... so. Unfortunately thats not really spot-on accurate for either of SF's led colors.  Edit: I can say this, however... my original thought ordering the avenger weathered in indigo was a dark obi-wan "what if" scenario... and man. It was GORGEOUS. not only the color, but the hilt was really fantastic. Once i have my exhalted, ordering that saber again is next on my list. |

i cant get enough of that combo. i think this may have just jumped to the top of my wish list. too bad theres not more pics. id be showing that thing off on this forum BIG TIME!! thanks for posting the picture thought man, bummer you had to sell her. id love to have a lightside ob1 and a darkside.
