I've been considering getting a saberstaff setup, and have had my eye on the grand master. But I'm also a big fan of the weathered look on sabers.

They don't seem to have any weathered grand master pictures on the main site, in reviews, or google. If anyone owns or has seen one, I would be eternally grateful for some pictures. I have a feeling it would look epic.

There might not yet be any out in the wild yet. During its initial limited etsy run I believe it only had a standard option, and it is still a relatively new addition to the main site. You might be the first to own one!

Also, are you planning to do a staff, or single?

Most likely a staff. I'll probably order just one to start, and if it is as great as I imagine, get a second and a coupler.

Hopefully someone may post some pictures. Either way, I will most likely get one, and I'll definitely let everyone see it if no one posts a review before it shows up. :)

Cool. The reason I asked is that during the etsy run the staff version came with a special low profile coupler (as did the Sorcerer staff). Word on the street is that it will be available to purchase separately soon, but currently the only couplers are the regular and long versions, which would break up the design.

However, the Sorcerer's main site description says it will come with the low profile coupler free if both halves are purchased, so us on the forum have been wondering if that applied to the Grandmaster 2.0 as well.

Out of curiosity, what is the difference between the original and the 2.0? Just realized they upped the price by about 50 bucks.

I have so many ideas for a low profile coupler. Also, a weathered/black Grandmaster is number 1 on my want list.

The original was a completely different hilt design that was retired along with the Justicar; SF's Satele Shan design inherited the name.

As for the price difference, during the initial etsy run they discovered that the hilt cost more to make than they anticipated, and dispite selling well didn't get another etsy run. Though (probably) due to everyone clamoring for it still they brought it back with a higher price point.

Ah OK that is a pretty massive difference. And as for the price, that makes sense now. It does have a bit more going on than the typical elite sabers with the pins and such.

Well Jaden, I have officially just ordered an initiate tier, so I may very well be the first person to see how awesome they are weathered! I'll post pics when it shows up, so check back in a few months.

Did you just order one, Muns? Or did you order 2 for the staff option?? Can't wait to see what it looks like in a few months :)

Just ordered one for the time being, due to funds. But if it's as magical as I think it will be, chances are I'll get a second for a staff.
