Borommakot, thanks for the share. It's an interesting concept and personally, the comment you wrote about quick draw I see as a Pro and a Con. Watching the Video, there appears to be merit in the latching system and does require a quick exertion of force to remove it whilst still having a generous weight threshold to loosen it (bucket test) when stationary and idle.
Designed for crossguard Hilts, the Hilt itself wouldn't be shy on weight and the characteristics of the Hilt IMO would make it cumbersome and somewhat impractical to have clasped to your belt.
It reminds me of a Hammer that hangs from a
Tradies belt. However with the Hammer's holster-ring, free movement is still enabled rather a fixed position that would nudge your leg as you walk.
I am reminded of a discussion exchanged recently specific to the New Belt Clip, Posted by
RotundChap (which doesn't have a locking mechanism or fixed attachment that your belt loops through).
Vyk, wrote in that Topic that whilst the advantage of quick draw is present, this also makes it easier for passing-theft or by curious onlookers simply yanking it from the mount. I see this concern described present with the discussed Clip System.
With use at Cons or Cosplay (either with blade attached or without) I've always imagined the harness-style carriers more practical for this specific Hilt similar to large Swords/Medieval Weaponry.
