Hi guys, just a couple of quick questions before I finally order my first saber.

If I only want a single color (red, in my case), is there any benefit to getting the RGB upgrade? What I mean is, would not having it effect any options for single color, such as blade flickering?
Also, is the difference in brightness significant? If it's hardly noticeable then I suppose RGB would be the best bet simply to have the option there if I ever do want to change it.

Which would you recommend I go for?
Cheers.

I got my first sabers in last week, one has a single color 12w+ indigo LED and the other has the RGBA option. The single color is brighter for sure, but the other one doesn't look dull beside it by any means, even though I primarily have that saber set to pure red, which will always look more dull to the human eye than something in the green or blue range. I think if you're only going to have one saber for a while, or you want the best of all worlds with a ton of options, RGBA is the way to go as the small sacrifice to brightness is, well... Small.

That's just my 2 cents, I haven't been into this hobby for very long. As I said, these are my first, but since I have them in hand and can compare side to side I think that counts for something. You can see them both in my avatar and while the indigo looks way brighter to the camera, they're a lot closer looking in person.

That sounds great, I'll take your advice and go for the RGBA.
Thanks for the reply buddy, hope you're enjoying yours.

No problem, man. The other great thing about the RGBA option is the Spark Color 2 soundboard. You also get multiple different sound fonts, an auxiliary button below the main activation button that makes blaster deflect sounds, the blade can flash a different color on clash, and you can pretty much customize all of these functions however you want and change colors on the fly. The Veridium and Crimson soundboards are great, but don't support any of those features. I'm still extremely happy with my Bane with the Crimson board, but there's not nearly as much to play with as on the Descent with the SC2.
