RotundChap Offline Senior Member Posts: 78 Thank you received: 25	I have 2 SF hilts and both are champion. I get the appeal of hero tier for the color changing blade and multiple fonts, but at the end of the day, I could see myself using only one font and one color for dueling.

Unless you plan to have accent LEDs (like crystals) or you HAVE to have multiple colors, I don't see spending money on ANY sound board that does more than the basics as a good investment. Reality is, most of us will hold to a single sound font and a single color for a saber. FOC is kind of gimmicky and isn't as cool as you might think (it can look horrible). Too many sound fonts just gets tedious.

I say give a saber a single personality: single color, single sound font.

Go with the Champion edition, or if you want to do a little building add in a Nano Biscotti for sound.

With the Hero I went w/a single color because, like Jas-Ot posits, IMO the RGB isn't that big a deal because people typically settle into a single font/color. I don't have any champions because I have the Hero and I feel I only need one hilt with sound.

I went with a Champion myself as well. Personally I don't see any reason to have more than one colour option and one sound font. While the Flash on Clash would be a nice addition, I don't feel it is necessary to enjoy the saber. It would be a nice perk though.

I saved quite a bit of cash getting 'just' a Champion and taking the family out to The Force Awakens back in December when it came out. Haven't regretted that decision. When I do order another hilt, it'll be a Champion with the Viridium sound card.

I can see where the Hero would be awesome if you really like changing your colours, or having SaberTracks for customs songs playing (my wife is looking at both of these options for her saber!) and that would make it worth the money.

But for me Champion is the way to go. I can put the extra money to a fancy hilt, save up for another saber, or other hardware unrelated to the topic.
