So my saber came today- and I have been grinning all day.

Only problem was that the diffusion film was sticking out and was bunched up on the bottom. It looked too long and I didn't want to shove it in and have the top part crimple. Remember someone on Youtube wrote that they also trimmed a bit. So did same- except that it got crushed when putting on the emitter. So trimmed more and it looked ok. But when I turned it on there are 2 light white spots of light where I guess the film curled up inside or was crushed and not rolled around- so light leaks of sorts near base.

I assume the wrap should be tight onto the shell of the blade and have a open gap for light. It seems that the end is not fully open but folded or crumpled. I used a pen to move the film towards the ends of the tube- but when one pushes the film in when rotating to avoid crushing it, the film wraps tight and closes in the middle.

Should I unscrew the top and then try to pull the film more from both sides to even them out?
? Is there any guide how to remove and reapply the film? Or what would happen if I used it without the difussion film? or have I messed up blade and I need to buy a new spare blade? Oh- the blade is the 32 inch thin neck one.

This same thing happened to me. The best way to fix it believe it or not is just to hold the blade and swing it really fast away from you and the film will roll back up and into the saber. When I got my first one I was all worried when I accidentally pulled the film out and could not roll it back up and get it in the blade far enough to allow the thin neck emitter. Then I angrily swung it and it went back to perfect condition, neatly in the blade. Hope this helps!

Ha ha - good excuse for me to swing and twirl the blade. I'll guess I'll see how the redeemer is for the Obi-Ani spin (plum flower flourish) :)

Thanks for tip. Thought I was only one that may have messed up the saber! I'll post pics soon
