Hi everyone,

I found out about Saberforge a couple weeks ago and when I read the forums (created an account today), saw the overall satisfaction along with the incredibly affordable prices (considering the price quality ratio), I have decided to get myself one or two of these beauties.

However, I do have some questions that I didn't really find answers to. If anyone is willing to transmit their knowledge to me, I'd be most grateful.
  • What's the difference between a 6 and a 12W LED (other than the obvious power)? Does it have any impact on the brightness of the blade? I guess it has an impact on the duration of the battery (twice the power going out if I'm not mistaken, my electricity classes seem to have happened a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away ;) ).
  • What's the quick connect? Is it just a button to turn on the blade? Or is it also a safety? I don't quite get the concept of this feature.

That's all for now, thank you in advance for your help :)

Fae

P.S: also, I'm not exactly sure I posted in the right section. Please move this thread to wherever it belongs if not here.

Hey, welcome aboard! I would start by reading this FAQ:SF FAQthat answers alotta questions you probably didn't realize you had and lets you in on all the customizations and lingo that Saber Forge uses. There's a bit of a learning curve for first time buyers and this gives you a leg up. To answer your questions quickly:
•What's the difference between a 6 and a 12W LED (other than the obvious power)?
The lumens (amount of light generated) is greater with the 12W. Getting the 12W also means you get a rechargeable battery instead of having to buy replaceable so it's definitely worth the investment.
•What's the quick connect?
Quick connects allow you to swap out LEDs so your saber isn't stuck w/a single color. Your Warrior tier and up comes w/an LED and you can buy other colors off their website. Another relatively inexpensive upgrade that I usually get.

I would strongly encourage you to read that FAQ, it's a great resource!
Wish List: Arbiter, Count, Insurgent, Regal, Legacy 2.0

Hey h2soy!

Thanks for the quick answer. I'm definitely going to go and have a look at this right now (pretty slow at work today anyway :p )

So yeah, as you say, those are pretty inexpensive upgrades considering what they add to the feel of these beauties.

Cheers for the help mate!
