Hello,

Just joined because I wanted to buy a great quality lightsabre.

I'm not too picky about the hilt, Im not interested in sound if it saves me some cash. I'm just looking for a single blade, either red, green or blue thats durable. Perticularly interested in this 'http://www.saberforge.com/accessories/infinity-blade'.

(Reason being is I do mess around with my friends with wooden swords and If I could do that with a lightsabre tht would be soo cool, Im not gonna try to swing it like a baseball bat hitting a home run, but want it too last).

I also saw that I can buy the hilt on its own but there are some features I dont understand such as 'Hilt Finish' for the katana. (Just would like people's opinions)

So can anyone give me any recommendations and let me know everything I need to know inorder to build my lightsabre.

Welcome to the forum!

As you may not know, the FAQ seems to answer a lot of your questions so I'd recommend checking that first. It also gives you a basic rundown on everything you need to know on saberforge.

As for hilt finishes, that just refers to the finish on the saber hilt. Saberforge offers standard (clean shiny metal) and weathered (work out dark metal look).

Welcome!

As Dr. Anthropologist said, definitely check out the FAQ as it will likely answer most of your questions.

All saberforge sabers come with the V4 Infinity blade which is one of the most durable out there. Check out this durability test:
Hope that helps a little!

Thanks for letting me know, I've got in mind my first saber. Just checking - Im based in the UK so are there going to be any issues with shipping or additional shipping prices?

As for the shipping extra fees or the customs, I can't say for sure, you're very likely to have to pay custom fees or importing fees.
However, if you order now, whether by Etsy or from the main site, you will not have it by December 18th. I think you can have one in time if you get a second hand saber. Other than that, I highly doubt you can have it before the premiere.

Finally got my light saber, really impressed with the design and finish, but what size hex key is required to undo the screws? The hex key that came with the parcel is too small to undo the screw that holds that hold the saber on the hilt. (The key that came with the saber only opens the screws at the back of the base of the hilt and not the front of the hilt that holds the saber).

I read a post from a few months ago where somebody lost theirs. You need an 8/32.

This is incorrect. 8-32 is the thread size and pitch. The correct Allen Wrench size I believe was 5/32nds. This can be found in the FAQ section.

np.

Just wanted to say, Im really impressed with the quality, the finish, love the weight and the design, the nuts bolts and features poking out of it add a sense of complexity and steampunky design. All my friends love it as well and it was worth the weight for me.

Thank you guys so much

Have a question? If I buy the warrior pack with only the hilt and the blade, can I still buy the sound board later and install it later?

Probably because your posts (like all members with post counts below 10 due to recently implemented security procedures to prevent SPAM) still have to be approved. Unfortunately, I don't have Mod rights to that particular area, so one of the Global Mods will have to approve that one. Just be patient. :)
Imagine what you will know tomorrow....
