Does anyone know if saberforge is definitely making the Asajj Ventress hilt? Also if I were to have suggestions for saberforge for existing production sabers and other suggestions should I post them in this forum or email sales at saberforge? Thanks

Welcome!
As of right now, we won't have any announcements or notices on the release of this specific design (due to a unique incident that arose a few months back). So maybe soon, mayber later, or maybe never. It's all up in the air at this point. You can definitely make suggestions in the forums, since this is where we talk about all subjects saber-related. Just make sure to open a topic in the right category, |

I dont think many will be able to give much insight to whether this will happen until probably sometime in december at a minimum. If you need the saber somewhat soon, may want to pull the trigger on the FX one. Coot |

Regarding the "incident". A design concept was fairly blatantly stolen by another saber maker when still in concept form which resulted in angry words and no more future concept art to protect any ideas forthcoming.

Well, in the world of sabers, I mainly only like cannon based hilts, but I do appreciate alot of unique designs. I just think that people buy from saber forge because of the quality and the customer service, not because of the designs. But i guess if you worked hard on a design, it would be a slap in the face if someone stole it. Although, I have heard some stories about saberforge doing the same thing to other designers

The design in question SF is accused of that for is the JadeFire, which is based off of Kotobukiya's Mara Jade statue saber design. Another company came out with one based off the same design shortly before SF, and then tried to blast SF for stealing their design.... based off of someone else's design. So.
No. SF does not rip custom and unique designs off of others. We don't need to. We're doing fine with our own. |
