Anyone out there who owns a red saber.....how red does your blade look? My led looks very red but with the blade in it almost looks a little orange. It's not orange but it's not a dark red with the blade in.

It looks red to me (Reborn). Maybe it has to do with the thin neck?

This is a very subjective question. There is a tribe in Africa that cannot see the color blue but can distinguish far more shades of green than most people. , Studies are beginning to show that humans all could not see blue at one time. It may very well be what is red to you (or any of us) is not quite tha same red anyone else sees.

Hello. The first thing I have to ask is, did you fully recharge the battery? A low battery may not show the full color and intensity. From all of the images I have seen the red tends to look a bit more Red leaning to Pink. If you are getting orange it may be your batter is low.
If you look at the color chart attached and based on the Cree LEDs Saberforge is using you should see something in the 620nm range. I always wondered if the Custom shop ever experimented with Red, Red, Red, Royal Blue to get a deep blood red? Red tends to look pink in camera unless it's mixed. Can you post some pics when you get a chance. I tried starting a thread called color gallery to see how different or similar cameras capture the variations of the LED color choices, but it never caught on Hope this helps. |

SF blade is made of white smoked pipe, and sometimes it affects the original blade color.
If you hate that, you should get clear blade from TCSS or other companies! |

I just want to know if other people with red sabers are experiencing what I am experiencing. I want to know if my blade color is normal for red LED or if my saber is "off" for some reason. |

Pretty much my blade looks like the first picture and not the second picture But my saber by no means looks like this picture of blood orange PRETTY MUCH MY SABER HAS THE RED COLORING OF YOUR TYPICALLY EMERGENCY EXIT SIGN YOU WOULD SEE IN ANY BUILDING......NOT DARK BLOOD RED, BUT NOT ORANGE EITHER, ALMOST LIKE A NEON RED. |
