Hi all,
I recently received my very first Saberforge saber, a Champion Redeemer. I love it.

But I've only really put it through the light use of turning it on and off to show to friends and family a dozen or so times. That's why I was surprised when the gold, plastic "ignition plate" you use to power it on/off just plain fell off yesterday.

It looks like it was lightly glued on from the little bit of residue on the button. I wanted to see if anyone else has had a similar issue, and if so, how they went about fixing it. Any glues or better suggestions for getting it back where it should be? I wrote SF but haven't heard back yet (not that I am expecting to so soon) but I know there's a lot of people here with a lot of expertise that might be able to lend me a hand getting my saber up and running again.

See attached photo.

Thanks in advance!

Sorry about your issue. I didn't even know it was glued. I thought this sheet of metal slid in the ignition box.
As for glue, well I think that pretty much any glue that works for metal VS metal would be good. Although you do have to check the two metals don't have corrosion issues if in contact, then you might need an actual "corrosion" proof glue (does not make much sense, does it?). I mean a glue that will be evenly put on the gluing point so that the two metals are not in contact whatsoever.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, the piece does slide in but it's held in place essentially by being glued a little bit to the actual button. Without the glue it just slides and falls out.

SF responded saying to use some super glue. Going to give it a shot later today. Have to be careful not to glue the button where it'll get stuck. I guess I'll keep some on hand as I can see this happening again down the road. The metal button and plastic piece are both very smooth so there's not much for the glue to grip I guess.

I actually bought a guardian from someone on the facebook page. I ran into the same exact problem where the button was hanging off the saber. I just took some 5 min super glue that you can find at any hobby store and carefully applied it by putting some on a tooth pick and got a little part of the bottom of it. Since you would press the button down for activation, I don't think it would require much to keep it in place unless you took a strike directly on it. I have twirled my guardian around some and I havnt had any issues, granted my button is also slightly recessed. Hope that helps.
