I wanted to create a topic to express my gratitude for all of the extra effort the Saborforge team is putting in to meet the incredible demand from the movie, holidays and the ASP. As they adjust to fit their new facilities and processes.
In the software industry Crunch time is the name for the time period of overtime and increased stress as you near a deadline or try to get a project back on track. Having worked through a number of them myself, I know how much gratitude and positive feedback can mean. The worst of which was 100 hrs per week for 3 months strait (in the game industry) and we would have never made it without the positive feedback from our fans. To the saberforge team: Please remember to have some fun, eat and sleep well, and make sure to draw the line when you need to. Someone getting a saber a week earlier is not worth the cost of your health and sanity. In most cases while many will complain and throw around negitivity now, it will be forgotten and forgiven when they get their products in hand (even if later than they expected.) So ignore the negitive as much as you can. I am excited to recieve my sabers whenever I get them. I know it will be well worth the wait.

2016 is going to be the year when all of their expansion efforts, and new programs will really start to gain traction, and we...their customers stand to benefit from all of it!
So, hell yeah SaberForge! Once you pass through this crucible, you will be stronger, and ready to handle the rigors of the success that you yourselves have garnered! You have my sincere thanks for your efforts, both past, and future! |

I second, third, fourth, whatever the number is, this post! Everyone at the Forge is putting in some extra time and something extra in general, and we are most appreciative of everything you guys do. Having been through a number of these projects as well, the successful completion of such a task usually is extremely rewarding, but the sudden change of pace can have dramatic effects on your health. As was said, please take care of yourselves, we do not want any of you ill or worse. Eat well, calmly, sleep well, unwind with some Fallout 4, Star Wars Battlefront, R6 Siege, GTA V, or painting, sewing, drawing, fishing, hunting, whatever it is that helps you relax. It is of utmost importance. Again, thanks to all of you, and to Knytiri, our ever watchful Guardian, thank you for letting us keep in touch with the Forge and please forward these words of gratitude to the SF staff. |

I had been thinking a thread like this was in order and I'm glad someone pulled the trigger on it. We definitely live in a society that has become accustomed to immediate gratification which is part of what lies at the core of many of the complaints that the Saberforge staff has to deal with. Let's not forget that they are creating works of art and I for one appreciate the fact that they are handling a huge spike in demand without sacrificing quality.
With that in mind, I definitely want to say a big 'Thank You!' to all the folks at the Forge that have sacrificed their time to fulfill the childhood (and let's be honest, the adult) fantasies of all of us here to own a part of Star Wars lore. I went from buying one saber for my son to being so impressed with it that I bought two for myself. I can't wait to get them but know that having to will make it even sweeter when they arrive! |
