Oh she's so cute :)

Congrats on hooking your daughter on drugs for the rest of her life by the way :p

Isn't the saber too heavy for her? How heavy is it actually? Did you weigh it? (Did you weight it? which one is the correct one?)

What I thought, thanks!

Weight is a noun, and not a verb, is that right?

I think SherlockHomme's youngling will be fine, she has a solid double handed grip on her prized possession.

A true Jedi in the making.

It's everyone else in the vicinity I'd be worried about!

MTFBWY!

Technically yes, weight can be a verb but usually only with 'ed' at the end. As in (the odds were weighted against him). But in rare cases like (assign a handicap weight to a horse) it can be a verb--but it is so rarely used that way, at least here in America, I had to look it up. We would usually just say "assign a handicap," without adding the word weight Hope I don't sound condescending, not my intent, but I am a historian and work in education---so force of habit to help folks out.

What kind of self entitled, Hubris syndrom, absolute horse shit of a man would I be if I asked for help on speaking a language, then proceeded to spit on you for doing exactly so?

Your help is much appreciated and not at all condescending :)
Thanks for the enlightenment!

I think it's more complicated than that,

In physics, Weight is the noun/name given to describe the effect of Mass multiplied by Gravity as a unit of measure . Mass multiplied by the force of gravity equals Weight. (1 Newton of mass x gravity = approximately 1kg in Weight)

Weigh is the verb to describe the act of measuring this quantity or it's effect.

For example "I am going to weigh this saber" is the same as "I am going to calculate the force this saber presses down onto the weighing scales"

Like un or une in your native tongue Faethien, even us folks in England misuse words and substitute weight for weighs.
We sometimes say "What's the weight of that saber?" other times we might ask "How much does that saber weigh?" expecting the two questions to mean the same thing.

Weight is a term of quantity used in general society, and weighs or to weigh is to express the effect or process of calculating that effect.

Don't worry you are doing fine as mentioned before,

Thanks Prof! ;)

Even if I am doing fine, there's no reason not to improve. Plus, I really love English. So, I don't feel like I'm working on it, it's closer to I'm XPing so I can get the correct stuff to raid the right dungeon :p
It's all a game to me anyways ^^

Yeah, this discussion has dragged to an unnecessary extent, back to the topic guys!

I know what you mean SherlockHomme, my little bro is five and I sometimes let him play with my Phoenix from time to time, with supervision of course; wouldn't want anything to happen to your prize possession and especially not to the youngling.

Hey, someone should make a thread where we can post our younglings "training" with a saberforge saber! What do you think guys? Be it son/daughter, nephew/niece, younger cousin or sibling. How about it? When I get the chance I could start it up! It could show that sabers are for everyone! With proper training, they can become saber enthusiasts too!

Hahaha! Yes, between the comic books, model trains, and robots in our house, she's definitely doomed. :-)
Her light saber is a Consular, so it's fairly light. I also fitted a 26 inch blade in it which is perfect for her size.
She's slowly getting used to it - i'm more worried about her destroying furniture and all the collectibles in our little basement "nerdvana". ;)

Alright, there we go, I created the thread. Let's see if it gets anywhere. I was going to put a picture of my little bro with my Phoenix there to start it up but unfortunately I won't be seeing him anytime soon because I worked for the next three days.
