Does anyone know if anyone, even on shapeways, makes a replacement for the Bane spacer that doesn't have the claw/hook on it? I already own it and it's basicly going to be the difference between keeping the Bane, or taking the internals for another saber and selling the bane hilt to someone.

Not far as I know - and since the central claw also helps stabilize the blade, I'm not even sure a replacement center spine would work that well without it.

Seemed stable when I stuck it in a basic pipe earlier at the same distance, and that was without a pinch pin....hmm...I might have to go to plan B

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought the claw served a functional purpose, not just decorative.

That said, if you have access to a machine shop or 3D printer and want to try an alternative, go for it and let us know how it goes?
