I absentmindedly loosened the led screw on my saber instead of the blade retention screw. when i screwed it back in, the threading on the hilt stripped, and now the screw is loose. I must of angled it wrong or something. Needless to say, I feel like a dunce. Any possibilities to fix or fit with a new screw? Or do I just have to keep the led in place with the blade?

Aluminum is a soft metal and easy to strip and repair.
Use a 8-32 tap and you can rethread it like that.
If you don't have access to a tap and die set. Get another 8-32 fastener and run it thru. The fastener will rethread it in the same manner that you stripped it.
