Greetings and salutations fine forumeers!

So I'm new to saberforge and although it's probably the absolute worst time to have placed an order (because from the look of it this is the busiest time SF have ever had, with the longest wait times to boot!)

That said I couldn't resist though, and pulled the trigger on a 'Prodigal Son' empty hilt (unweathered version). Couldn't resist the classic luke/ROTJ hilt sitting next to my ESB graflexes.

Some Qs:

1. Has anyone here had anything delivered to the UK? What was your experience like re: postage times etc? Good? Bad?

2. Does anyone know if ordering an empty hilt does anything to the lead time on orders? My confirmation email said 12-14 weeks, which is... a long time! Does the fact that I have ordered a blank hilt reduce this (grasping, I know)

Thanks Saber guys and gals. What a weird hobby we have... B)

Hey Llewell!

As someone who is also stuck in a 12-14 week lead time (I'm assuming from the main site, not Etsy), can I ask when you ordered?

Thanks for the responses and the welcomes all.

@Snakeeyz - I ordered last night here in the UK about 15 hours ago now, and yes, from the main site. What about you, when was your order placed?

@galade - I thought this would be the case, thanks for the info.

@dav - I'll maybe PM him or something, thanks.

I think it's time to forget i ordered the hilt and set in for the wait!

Cheers, L

I'm hitting Week 15 tomorrow personally (ordered September 24th). Hoping it's just caught up in USPS' system...

Good news for you though: It looks like the email was not updated yet! The FAQ on the forums and main site, we have been told, are more accurate than the lead times in the confirmation emails at the moment. If you ordered last night your wait time is actually 6-8 weeks!

Sorry to hear you've been waiting so long :S that's what I'm worried about myself - the postage. What with being in the UK and hearing...suspect things... about the USPS lately I'm a bit concerned about it dissapearing in transit.

I'm sure it will be fine though- i also wish you a speedy delivery!

Good news about the delivery time at 6-8 weeks too. Not going to hold my breath though
