Here's an outline of the story I would like to write. The story itself would be "Path of the Force" but I'm not sure if it would work best as a trilogy or as a single book. Anyway, here's the outline I have been able to put together so far...

9 BBY – Marriage of Valsor (23) & Najét (22). Nivva (23)
8 BBY – Birth of Xelner. Valsor (24), Najét (23), Nivva (24)
6 BBY – Birth of Valsor Jr. Valsor (26), Najét (25), Nivva (26), Xel (2)
1 BBY – First sign of the force in Xel (rescues Val). Xel (7), Val (5), Valsor (31), Najét (30), Nivva (31)
2 ABY – Empire kidnaps Najét (33) to persuade Gin family to join. Valsor (34) is nearly killed and Xel (10) needs to decide if he is going to develop his force abilities with Nivva (34). Val (8 ), Pei-Pei (61), Nani (59), Darth Vader (43)
3 ABY – Darth Vader (44) turns Najét (33) over to an Imperial Base to pursue rebels on Hoth. Nivva (35) and Xel (11) rescue Najét but Czar Gin (62) is killed. Nani (60) becomes the ruler of Torésch. Xel decides he will become a Jedi with Nivva’s help. Xel meets Luke Skywalker (22) who is recovering from hand replacement surgery.
4 ABY – Xel (12) meets Brena (16) on Torésch while training with Nivva (36). Val (10) is showing signs of jealousy that he is not going to be a Jedi
10 ABY – Nivva (42) decides that Xel (18) is ready to be considered a knight. Val (16) has discovered that he is also force sensitive and begins to call himself Darth Demascus.

If you ignore the stuff in parentheses (it's just ages, species, and pronunciation), the timeline is pretty clear. That's just a bare bones outline now.

I just wanted to point out that I am making a crossbreed as the main character...something I've never seen in Star Wars is inter-species mixing.

Timeline of Events
19 BBY –
• Order 66/Birth of The Empire, Death of Linos on Coruscant and Maldivar on Torésch.
• Nivva takes Najét into hiding on nearby Nimlah.
9 BBY –
• Marriage of Valsor & Najét. Nivva continues to stay by Najét’s side despite Valsor having an issue with Jedi.
8 BBY –
• Birth of Xelner. Nivva poses as the child’s nanny.
6 BBY –
• Birth of Valsor Jr.
1 BBY –
• First sign of the force in Xel (rescues Val). Nivva feels it but unable to determine which kid it is because she wasn’t present.
2 ABY –
• Empire kidnaps Najét in an attempt to persuade Gin family to join. Valsor is nearly killed by Stormtroopers and Xel uses the force (unintentionally) to repel the troopers. Originally, Nivva believes the force user is Val and Xel doesn’t say anything because his father has told him for years that Jedi are bad. Val hopes that it is him because secretly he has always wanted to be a Jedi.
• Xel needs to decide if he is going to develop his force abilities with Nivva. Nivva tells Xel about his Uncle Linos.
3 ABY –
• Najét is located on an Imperial Base. Nivva and Xel rescue Najét.
• Czar Gin is killed by Stormtroopers. Nani becomes the ruler of Torésch.
• Xel decides he will follow the light side and agrees to have Nivva train him.
• Xel meets Luke Skywalker who is recovering from hand replacement surgery.
4 ABY –
• Xel meets Brena on Torésch for the first time while training with Nivva.
• Val is showing signs of jealousy and anger that he is not going to be a Jedi
10 ABY –
• Nivva decides that Xel is ready to be tested to become a knight.
• Val has discovered that he is also force sensitive and begins calling himself Darth Demascus.
• Xel, now a Jedi Knight, is advised by Nivva that she feels that the Sith have returned. Not aware of Val’s turn, they discover that Emperor Palpatine has been cloned and Luke Skywalker has joined him.

Since Nimlonians are something I am creating, I wanted to explain them. They are similar to the Chiss in the fact that they have blue skin and black or dark blue hair. The biggest and most notable difference is their eyes and ears. Chiss have red, pupil-less eyes and rounded ears. Nimlonians have yellow, pupil-less eyes and pointed ears.

Xelner and Valsor Jr. are the result of a Nimlonian and Human so they too have blue skin, but a lighter shade of blue. They also have yellow eyes but their eyes similar to humans with yellow pupils. Unlike most Nimlonians, Xel and Val have blonde hair (which Xel shaves off when he gets older). They have pointed ears too.

Thank you very much. All the characters I've created are based on people in my life so I just needed to alter their names slightly and voila...instant character.

The hardest part is the time period. I'm trying to weave it into a period that people are already familiar with but the tricky part is keeping everything cannon. Can't have Darth Vader chasing my characters when he's already involved in a story that's already been written.

I'm so glad you like it. I'm not an author, just a nerd with a passion for reading so I thought I'd write something I like. Who knows, maybe if I get the gumption I'll seek out a publishing company and really try to get this made.

I've always loved the thought that not everyone in the galaxy are thrilled with Jedi so I thought it'd be great to do a story where the main character is hesitant to become one.
