I was debating on putting this under Open Topics or Cosplay Gallery and I opted for Open Topics because I really don't have pictures for this.

Obviously we all can come up with great names and I'm sure most of us have developed, at some level or another, a back story. I was thinking that if there was a "Fan Fiction" category this would be perfect because I would honestly love to develop my back story into a full on novel.

I always think of that scene in X-Men 2...
Magneto - "What's your name?"

So I ask you...who are you really? I'll start....

My name is Alexander Balbi. From this I made an amalgam by reversing Alex to Xela and had "ander" left over. From there Xela|ander I figured the 2 A's cancelled each other out and Xelnder looked stupid so I dropped the D.

I'm not Cher or Bono, so I needed a last name too. Balbi...I dropped the "bi" at the end and reintroduced the D I dropped from my first name. D'Bal...close but still lacked something. Ah, those two A's that I dropped from my first name (but I'll only use one)

And that's how I got my name...Xelner D'Bala.

I gave my whole family the similar treatment. My father and middle brother are both named Salvatore so I rearranged that into Valsor, mother Janet became Najet and my youngest brother Nicholas became Linos. My home town of Hamlin became my homeworld of Nimlah and Rochester (the closest big city) became Toresch (a nearby system).

I have a much deeper backstory that I can post if this thread actually goes anywhere.

Got it! Well, here goes!

My Character's name is Jorik Kasra. Jorik Kasra was born 3670BBY on Corelia (in Coronet City). Because he was strong in the force, he was avoided by most others.

At the age of 15, Jorik flew to Korriban, seeking to join the Sith. He began training at the sith academy on Korriban for two years. There he built his lightsaber (a purple double-bladed saber) and trained his force abilities. After some time training, he was given the title of Acolyte. Unlike most Acolytes, Kasra hated how armor restricted his movement, and so Kasra wore a tunic instead.

In 3653 BBY, with his fellow sith, Kasra participated in the Sacking of Corruscant.

My name is Darth Zexar, long and distant descendant of Anakin Skywalker. Originally having used a blue light saber, a powerful magenta crystal became my blade in my reign as Sith.

I was born Zarex Marla, to a rookie bounty hunter and a barkeep. Taken into the Jedi Order at a young age, my parents and sister were forgotten all but for a single photograph kept despite the wishes of the Order.

I was trained and quickly outfought Knights and Masters, even my own, Master Vaylana. On a standard mission to retrieve a holo of Sith whereabouts, an unknown Sith Lord lay in wait. Vaylana was incapacitated and I, using a brief flash of anger, killed the Sith.

On returning to the Order I was awarded the title 'Knight', before a mission with my Master and another of the council, Koll.

On said mission, we were betrayed and I was cut off from my Master. Koll, an undercover dark Jedi, attacked, and in a controlled rage I cut him down without hesitation. A Sith cruiser began the bombardment of the planet, and so I informed my Master of my plan.

I flew to the cruiser and came face to face with one of the three Sith Lord's we'd been hunting. Defeated, I was taken to Koreiban, where I was indoctrinated into the Sith over the next six months.

I found my apprentice, Darth Velo, a slave on Tatooine, and I trained her in the arts. A trap was set, and I revealed myself to my former Master, and destroyed my Sith Master in one stroke of genius, birthing Darth Zexar.

No one dare stand in my way.

Sweet...I guess I should do more of mine. Here is just a general overview of characters.

Xelner D'Bala, (Xel for short) - grew up on the small planet of Nimlah which is know for having a virtually flat surface and it's industrial factories. Xel discovers by accident that he is force sensitive although he initially doesn't want to be due to the fact that his father has raised him to believe that Jedi are not good.

Valsor D'Bala, (Xel's Father) - He is the head engineer designing components at the local holoprojector plant. Valsor's brother was a Jedi Knight who was murdered by Darth Vader at the jedi temple during the execution of Order 66. Feeling that his parents always favored his brother, Linos, he has a strong dislike for force users and Jedi in particular.

Najet D'Bala (Maiden name Gin) - Najet, is a native of nearby planet Toresch. Najet is unable to remember what brought her to Nimlah but once she met Valsor they fell in love and decided to make Nimlah their home world. Najet has had her memories altered for her protection because she is the rightful heir to the throne of Toresch. She was sent to Nimlah as a preventative measure by the Czar and Czarina to prevent her from falling into Imperial hands.

Valsor D'Bala Jr., (Val for short) - Val has always been fascinated with Jedi despite his fathers warnings that Jedi bring nothing but trouble to the galaxy. Despite the fact that the Jedi Order has been eliminated, Val would still like to meet a Jedi.

Nivva Ralek - Nivva lives in the D'Bala household and poses as the boys nanny. In actuality she is a Jedi and had just passed her trials to become a knight at the end of the clone wars. Her Master, Maldivar Dailen, was gunned down by his own clone troopers and Nivva's last orders were to hide the princess and protect her at all costs.

Linos D'Bala - Valsor's older brother and Jedi Knight. Linos was actually good friends with Nivva and they had a close relationship (as close as the Jedi order would allow). Nivva honors his memory and tells Xel of his uncle when convincing him to become a Jedi.

Darth Demascus - Enraged that Xelner becomes a Jedi when it should have been him, Valsor sets out on his own to discover his own force abilities. He finds that he actually is force sensitive but by then the anger has set him on a dark path. (I want to note that I chose Demascus because of damascus steel used in weapons...I just altered the spelling slightly)

That's all I remember for now. I actually did plot out a whole timeline and actually penned about 2 chapters worth.

Do I really have to give everyone here a history class on where my character is coming from or we can skip that part?

Revan came to life in 3994 BBY, somewhere in the outer rim. He joined the jedi temple on coruscant at a very young age and followed the teachings of 3 different jedi masters.

He was a Jedi Knight that took part in the war facing the republic and the mandalorians in 3960 BBY, against the council's will. The council had decided that the jedi order would not interfere in this conflict, and Revan was a vocal and charismatic critic of the Order's inactivity in the ongoing war. Followed by a few followers called the Revanchist (including his apprentice, Malak, and a young padawan devoted to him named Meetra Surik), Revan took off to fight the Mandalorians. He quickly joined the Republic forces and was appointed Supreme Commander.

At the end of the war, during the final battle that took place on Malakor V, Revan challlenged Mandalore The Ultimate, the leader of the Mandalorians, into a duel to the death. Revan won, took Mandalore's mask, the ultimate symbol of the mandalorian warrior cast, to and hide on Rekkiad, an Icy world, in the hope that no one would ever find it. Without a leader, the mandalorians were scattered and powerless.

But Revan knew there was something behind the Mandalorians attack against the republic... Mandalore would never have attacked the republic without a good reason. Mandalorians told him that Mandalore had traveled in the other rim, and came back with his desire of conquest. Revan took off for the other Rim with Malak, his apprentice, in the hope to find answers.

At the term of their journey, they landed on a planet named Dromund Kaas. Little did they knew that this was the capital of the Sith Empire, home of the sith council and the Emperor himself. When they figured out, it became clear to them that it was a priority to take down the emperor before alerting the republic about what was going on on Dromund Kaas.

But it was a trap. The Emperor knew they were on his planet and was waiting for them. The force was so strong with him that he managed to twist their minds, turning them into puppets of his will and sending them off against the republic, just like he had for Mandalore.

He became Darth Revan, and followed by Darth Malak, they started their crusade against the republic. Nobody know how, but Revan and Malak managed to free their minds of the Emperor's will and started their invasion like if it was their idea in the first place. They discovered a very ancient Rakata artifact called The Starforge, a space station. This station was automated and so powerful that it was able to create a gigantic army all by itself (Soldiers, ships, destroyers, etc). From this point, Revan and Malak launched an attack against the republic.

But Malak had no intention to stay Revan's apprentice forever. During a battle, while Revan's flagship was being attacked by jedis, groupe of jedis led by Bastila Shan, Malak turned the cannons of his ship and fired in direction of Revan's flagship, knocking him out, unconscious. The jedi took the chance and captured Revan, fleing the battle in their capital ship.

A part of the Jedi Council had the desire to bring Revan before justice to make him face his crimes, while the other part was still attached to the idea that Revan might be a powerful ally. They finally decided to wipe his memories using the force and started all over again. Revan became a soldier of the republic, without any idea of who he was or what had happened to him. Meanwhile, Malak was still spreading chaos throughout the Republic.

When Malak heard of what had happened to his master, he decided that it was time to finish him off! It took time for Revan to get back his memory, but when he finally did, with the Help of Bastila and Malak, he started to remember what had happened to him, elements by elements. After that, Malak managed to turn Bastila to the dark side and turn her against Revan! What saved her from it was her special link with Revan. In fact, they were both deeply in love with each other. After Freeing Bastila from the Dark Side, Revan faced Malak in an ultimate fight on the bridge of the Star Forge. Without surprise, Revan won the Fight, and freed the Galaxy from Malak's Tyranny!

Back on Coruscant, Revan married Bastila! Because of their marriage, and because of his past, the jedi council decided not to accept Revan back into the order. They even banished Bastila from it, since such passion was forbidden.

Revan was concerned. He was unable to remember what had happened to him! Why he had join the Dark Side, where did he go with Malak after the Mandalorian War, what did they found? He was having nightmares almost every night about his past, so he decided to leave Coruscant with T3-M4, his loyal astromech droid, and Canderous Ordo, is mandalorian friend, to seek answers. He left his pregnant wife on Coruscant with the promess to return.

Canderous wanted to find Mandalore's mask in order to unify the Mandalorians again. His goal was not war, but unity! With his visions, Revan managed to remember where he had hidden the mask! The entire Mandalore clan was already on Rekkiad, an icy world where Revan had hidden the mask! With his help, Canderous found the mask, took it, and became Mandalore the Preserver.

Finding the mask helped Revan to remember more details about what had happened to him after that. He took off, alone with T3, to find more answers!
