I tell ya when I placed my order I felt like a kid in a candy store-ultra excited. After 10 weeks(Etsy) that has waned down to just wanting it because it's already paid for. Maybe I'll get that feeling back when it arrives. God I hope so...
**EDIT**
I must apologize to all who may have been offended by my previous post. I was actually pissed about something at work and in the midst of turmoil I checked my order status. Impatience got the best of me. Sorry for the negativity.
Happens to the best of us, man. Frustrations elsewhere bleed into other parts of our lives, much as we try to not let them.
I feel you on the enthusiasm part, I am sure mine will return when I finally see that my order has shipped but one of the mechanisms we have evolved as humans to cope with disappointment, sadness over a particular event, or pain is to become numb or complacent to that feeling. For most people real life goes on and our mind shelves that excitement or sadness in the back of our thoughts as we move on to deal with day to day matters. I'm glad we have it, can you imagine being antsy the entire time of your wait---young people can handle that, much as I did around this time of year as a kid in anticipation of Christmas, but nowadays I am just too damn old of that. Even at that, as kids we might perceive that we are excited for such and event all the time, but our perception is skewed, we take time off to to play or go to school, it's just that when we think of whatever is exciting us again the feeling returns at a heightened level and we think it had been at that level all along. Lol now that I think about it, this thread should be renamed
Saber Addicts Support Group or something, as people variously, laugh, cry, and blow off steam (even if that steam is precipitated by other parts of life) over their wait.
As other have so succinctly pointed out I just keep reciting the Code and hoping that last part of the Code---the death one---does not come before my sabers---
