Look mates,

Knytiri and the mods in general have, in my opinion, be patient enough with the "wait hate". They're not saying they don't understand what you're going through, they surely do. They certainly have bought quite a lot of sabers from SF and know the wait period is tough to live. I remember Knytiri explaining somewhere that whenever he's supposed to receive a saber from SF, he spends his day on his porch waiting for the mailman to come and deliver him his precious :)
They know.

I don't know about you all, but I run my own business. I have clients, with whom I try to be as straight forward and honest as possible, and most of the time, I manage to get my products to the post office when I said to the client I would do it. I have no doubt that SF tries to do just that as well.
But sometimes, and even though "When there's a will, there's a way", it's just plain impossible to manage all you were supposed to do. And so it gets delayed.
It happens to LITERALLY everyone on this planet. Yes, it's bothersome, and it's just as bothersome for them as it is for you because I'm pretty sure they don't like to have issues such as what clients are facing with the delivery times ...
The difference between them and I is that I don't get nearly as much orders as they do.

Yes, you're a client. Yes, you've paid for a product and a service and you're entitled to all that comes with it, such as ranting (not sure this verb is adequate, non native speaker here) about the wait time.
My point is: what good does it do? And I'm not saying that to anyone specifically, I'm asking to everyone and anyone that complains about the wait time and the fact that their orders got delayed or something.
Does thinking and grumbling about it make things any better? If it does, well good for you. But I hardly think it does any good.

I'm not a patient man, not at all. I wish I could buy from SF on a monday and receive the saber the following tuesday. I really do understand what you're going through, trust me (not on sabers specifically, in general). But as for any other product or service, there's the magical three: cost, quality, delays. And you can only pick two:
Expensive and quick means poor quality.
Quality and quick means sky high prices.
And from SF: we're having FANTASTIC QUALITY at (to me at least) really reasonable prices. And delays are long.

I'll end by saying this: they're having a LOT of business, and let's hope for them it'll keep going on like that. This way, in maybe 30 years, we'll still be able to fuel our nerd love for Star Wars :)

Say I have another question a question, if you order other item via esty or saberforge directly for that matter beyond lightsabers--a belt for instance--do they still ship everything at once? I am assuming they ship it all together for cost savings. I did not see anything on this in the FAQ. If it was there I missed it, sorry.

With the new lead times my order from Esty could be cutting it way close to Episode VII (which is significant for me because I was 7 when Star Wars hit--in the days before us old farts called it Ep. IV) I was just wondering if I might get my belt before then. I should have been smart and ordered it separately, but me and smart seem to have these falling outs from time to time.

Anyway if it does not work out, no big. I'll just go as Darth Jar-Jar and annoy both sides or the Force as revenge. :P
If you add to your order simply send a message directly to saberforge or through Etsy about adding it to your original order. I added a stand later on and saberforge was great in taking care of this. They just asked for my original order number and they made sure it would be sent together.

Stop with the wait hate. I'm getting tired of saying this, and will simply start deleting wait hate posts.

Then...i just made a reply to your post and you censored it. Only because i am not agree with your system of wrong information about the orders.
If you sent wrong information about their orders to your costumers its for sure that some of them will get angry for that.
Am I the bad guy?
Amazing......

Mate,

You made a comment, but you are far from being the first. I don't think it's against you, it's more of a general comment. You know how when you hear the same thing over and over again it starts to get really annoying? Well, I think that's what he meant.
Plus Knytiri did not censor anything, he simply said that he will start deleting those. And I, for one, would tend to agree. This kind of message, though understandable, does nothing but being counter productive and participates to a bad mood in general in a thread.

I think the base point on this line of discussion is that the order information you received was not intentionally misleading, or deceptive. The date slipped due to the unanticipated volume of business that this company is doing of late. I have had discussions with folks involved in the process, and their desire to meet their lead-time goals is absolutely genuine, and they don't like not being able to always meet them. They are working on expanding things to accommodate the workload, but obviously it is going to require some additional patience and understanding on the part of folks who are affected by all of this.

If you can resist the temptation to assume that this is in any way indicitive of their business ethic, and instead assume that they are doing the very best that current resources allow, it will all be good.
Imagine what you will know tomorrow....

Falkemburg, this is your first warning. Stop. Accusing. Stop being negative. I've stated straight and clear anymore posts on this will be deleted. I've deleted two of yours. THE INFORMATION YOU SEEK IS CLEARLY LISTED IN THE FAQ. If that's not good enough for you that's on you. Not me, not SF, not anyone else.

Normal conversation may now resume :)

Ordered my saber Sept. 7th (off the website). It's week three. Morale is steadfast. Daily checking of status change continues. I have not lost my mind yet.

That's what happened with my last order that arrived two weeks ago. I'm suspecting the same issue is happening again now with the saber that should've been here… yesterday… or tomorrow… lol
