They are busy and the wait times have increased as I was told so by a customer support rep when I emailed and inquired about the status of my saber. I have no problem with waiting, the only thing I wish could be a bit better is the times they give. I was given a date 3 times and each time came and went without a status change. When emailed each time I was told another 5-7 days. Finally I was told they will move it to the production manager and ship within the next few days. They always promptly reply to emails and I KNOW the sabers are top notch from all the reviews. Just need to give a more realistic date and stick to it even if they tell the customer another few weeks just so the customer doesn't not have to keep guessing when they will get the work of art they ordered.

Read the FAQ, people. It's there for a reason. Wait times are up right now due to an overabundance of orders... which you're a part of. People that assume it's some type of personal thing need to read the FAQ, realize the information is there if they care to look, and take a few deep breaths, and relax.
 PS- messaging them multiple times is a bad idea. For one, the more messages you send the less time they're spending making sabers. And, every time you duplicate the message, it gets a lower priority based on their sorting systems. They're sending out 200+ sabers every week... that means from the time you order till you get it, well over 1000 other sabers have been made and sent out. You are not SF's only customer, and as a small company with limited resources, they arent able to treat every person like they are the center of the universe, but they still do a damn good job at that regardless. So. Stop with the wait hate. I'm getting tired of saying this, and will simply start deleting wait hate posts. |

To add clarity to my comment, this is NOT directed at anyone posting what they just ordered and others communicating their wait times. It is solely aimed at comments just like one of the earlier ones "I'm mad at SF because..." and all that goes with that.
I've explained this at length a few times. Check back through this threads history for more indepthness. |

No worries Knytiri, you help keep us sane! Chalk it up to human nature. I've posted questions on the Custom Saber FB page that could have been answered by me reading the FAQ (again). Panicking/confused humans are incredibly silly creatures.
One of the funniest things is actually on the Saberforge Custom Builders/Selling Facebook page... you'll have multiple posts about something thats not only in our own forum's FAQ, but if people scrolled down just through the previous 5-10 postings on that page they would see their question was answered already from someone else's question.... that was probably already a repeated question of a repeatedly answered question, haha. I know thats not directly related to whats being discussed just now, but it kind've cracked me up a bit. |

The way my last email felt:
Me: "How long?" SF: "2 days." Me: "When is that saber coming again?" SF: "5 days." Me: "Wait a minute. It was 2 days 5 days ago." Not mad, just my impatience getting the better of me.

Growing pains of a VERY successful business my friends.
You can be sure that Phil & company are trying to rev up operations to match the rapidly increasing demand, which will likely gain momentum as the new movie's release date approaches. We all want a faster turn around time, and when we order, we want to have our expectations set correctly. It is completely understandable to be disappointed if the popularity of the product has caused the manufacturer to fall behind, and have to push back established ship dates. Just try to understand that there is a reason that things at The Forge are crazy right now. That reason is that between the popularity of the new models dropping, the upcoming movie(s), the much anticipated ASP program, and the awesomeness of their existing saber line, demand has exploded and they are overwhelmed! Try to take solace in the fact that when it arrives, you will know that it was worth it, and that you backed the right pony when you chose SaberForge. |

Say I have another question a question, if you order other item via esty or saberforge directly for that matter beyond lightsabers--a belt for instance--do they still ship everything at once? I am assuming they ship it all together for cost savings. I did not see anything on this in the FAQ. If it was there I missed it, sorry.
With the new lead times my order from Esty could be cutting it way close to Episode VII (which is significant for me because I was 7 when Star Wars hit--in the days before us old farts called it Ep. IV) I was just wondering if I might get my belt before then. I should have been smart and ordered it separately, but me and smart seem to have these falling outs from time to time. Anyway if it does not work out, no big. I'll just go as Darth Jar-Jar and annoy both sides or the Force as revenge.
