Hello all!

So I've been deciding on what Saberforge saber to get for a Jedi cosplay I am going to be doing. The problem is, I am super indecisive and I want all of the sabers! (For real though...) Anyway, I know that I want two sabers two dual wield. Which do you guys think are the best saber pairs?

Thanks!

Personally, I think any sabers obtained in matching pairs are an excellent choice. However, if you were looking for a main hand/shoto kind of pairing, any of the elite sabers with a 36" or 32" blade, and any of the currently available apprentice sabers (Consular, Acolyte, Disciple, Arbiter) with a 26" blade would be fantastic. The reasoning there is that the current apprentice designs range from just under 10" to a little over 12", and fill the shoto/offhand role pretty well.

I am sure that it depends a lot on your style, and how much saber you can handle single-handed, but those suggestions are not a bad start. I am sure others will ring in as well with more information very quickly!
Imagine what you will know tomorrow....

When I think of Duel wield I always think of Asajj Ventress. So I would want double red I think.... maybe something you could stick together for a staff if you wanted.

I think a beautiful pair is dual Consulars. In my mind, unless you want the main blade and shoto look, dual wielding the same saber is elegant and, to me, seems more sophisticated and skilled.

I suggest dual Consulars in Standard Finish, both in Lime Green, but that's just me.

If you're going for a more greyish jedi look, weathered and purple would look good, and for a Sith, I would suggest dual red blades. If your character has more of a Palpatine-esque and refined Sith feel, i would suggest standard finish, but if it's more of a brute force, Maul-esque character, weathered red.

Or, dual GrandMasters
Ideally these would have the same length blade, but if you were going for a shoto/main blade look, I would look at two different sabers (with a Consular as your shoto). I don't have an answer for shoto/main blade pair, but when i think of one, i wll update my reply.
(as you can tell, I kind of really like the Consular)

Thank you all for such quick replies!

I've thought of dual wielding two Monarchs, but getting two crystals sabers in champion is EXPENSIVE to say the least. I really want to go for a main/shoto look, and I've thought of doing a Venomous Fury paired with an Acolyte. If you guys have any other suggestions, keep them coming!

If I got a pair of named hilts, they'd be Consulars, no question.

Sort of, both were ordered thru the custom shop. The Disciple had the powder-coated Venom claw mounted, and the Consular was pretty much factory with minor mods to fit the pommel depth the same as the staff coupler.

It's difficult to say what "best" is as it's all a preference of design and how you like to hold the saber and where the saber is pretty much designed to be or most comfortable to hold. So a hilt will be drawn to you for one reason or another and let the force be your guide.

When it comes to sizes and suggestion for a dual wield in which you are looking for… I would suggest an Elite tier saber for your strong hand with a 32" blade and an Apprentice tier saber for your off hand with a 26" blade.

I believe that a certain quote can capture my opinion on the 'best sabers for dual wielding'.

"A chain is only as strong as the weakest link."

If someone isn't proficient in dual wielding, then their natural skill with a single weapon will be limited by the unfamiliar weapon or use of the recessive hand. That is why I'm not exactly a fan of saber and shoto. I feel like a dual wielder should not use the secondary weapon as a sidearm to mostly defend, but rather as an extension of the other weapon.

As such, I feel that any sabers that have interchangeable weight and length can and should be used together. I also prefer two 32" blades over a longer and short blade. Just my humble opinion.
