Personally, I like the look of the Relic just a bit more than the Templar. Unfortunately, I'm saving a ton of money right now, so I won't be getting either anytime soon.

Probably because once everyone found out how much quicker Etsy was everyone went there for their orders, and now there is a longer wait until they get to your order. |

I assume it is possible to specify some options that Etsy does not provide? Example Viridium / Crimson sound font and if applicable, the color of leather wraps on sabers that have that. I did this with my previous Etsy order. Any one confirm?

Yes, they're pretty good about those things. Sound font Blade length Covertech/kill key/blade plug finish Switch colour/finish All that stuff is going on your saber anyways. No harm in specifying which you'd prefer. I've mentioned each of those things in the comments section on my orders. To me little details like that count and make the saber that much more for you. They're pretty good about it and usually nail it to try and make is happy with our saber. |

NeBosa, your experience with ordering without a doubt is more advanced than mine, as a heads up though my last Etsy order placed in Dec 2015 had order comment requests confirmed and accepted, however I've noticed as 2016 came around (inbetween the Etsy exhausted stock and reload) there is now a disclaimer in product description that writes:
Please note that additional customizations are not available for this listing, and we cannot guarantee that any extra requests made in the order comments by the customer will be fulfilled.
Whilst its been honoured in the past, moving forward with new orders and customising requests may be a punt that has equal chance of being fulfilled to equal chance of not.

The customs they speak of are more in terms of actual custom questions like finishes and what not.
Each saber has a blade plug and covertech wheel. So mentioning the finish you want isn't a big deal. Nor is it a big deal making a request for a finish for the kill key if your saber is a champion or hero tier. I've had no issues requesting black body instead of silver body activation switches either and requesting certain colours for the led ring. As I said. These are all items already being put on your saber and it is not a custom request. It's merely suggesting a preference of finish in which they have multiple available. A custom is requesting a different pommel. Or if the switch hole can be drilled somewhere else. Or if you can have the saber in a different finish then the posted ad shows. Accessories are not custom options. |

Hi all,
That disclaimer was also written in the product description of my Champion Disciple when I ordered on Nov 12th 2015, it isn't new. They put that disclaimer on because my Disciple was offered as a DEDICATED tier and you didn't have the option to alter the tier, if I had wanted a Hero or Warrior tier it was offered as a separate item. Much the same way as some sabers are listed as Weathered Disciple or Standard Finish Disciple. It's just how Etsy organises and displays it's stock. As to whether or not requests are honoured now I don't know For Tyeth |

Granted, default accessories are inclusions (blade plugs, covertechs, kill keys etc)-no disagreement, customisations can be defined as personalising different to how item is supplied. For example: If the product item only features 1 drop-down box to select an option (say Led Colour) and nothing else then it can be perceived by SF Etsy that additional requests towards say blade length, sound font, hilt finish, different colour accessories be interpreted as a customisation. Extensive part swaps or exchanges wouldn't be entertained anyway and applicable to higher grade changes they would conclusively ignore or (if receptive to) re-direct you to Customs@SF to achieve the desired requests. I could be completely wrong. How I draw this conclusion (and interpretation like a food business) is Etsy offer a Fixed menu for ordering to ensure productivity and time efficiency. When changes are requested to the menu items (either ordering off menu or changing the default setup) this affects the flow of the order/production/assembly process. If a Big Mac from Macca's comes standard with lettuce & pickles and request less lettuce, no pickles extra cheese instead, it may not be accommodated. Ordering and building a saber is very different to a burger. mmm...Big Mac... |
