Any possibility that their response is going to your SPAM folder?

That has actually happened to folks, and they did not think to look there until someone specifically mentioned it. I say this because the customer service folks have managed to make a lot of headway in their backlog of e-mail, and while nobody is perfect, I have to imagine they attempted to send a response by now, but it did not arrive for reasons yet unknown.

Unfortunately not, believe me I've been checking. Didn't mean to make this strictly about me but I do think it points to what I perceive as a larger lack of communication between either departments at SF or individuals. How is one expected to communicate with a company if only one outlet can help but an individual isn't receiving anything from them. Then when an attempt is made to reach out to another outlet we get told to just go talk to the original outlet.

I'm taking this all with multiple grains of salt given the current situation with KS, Indiegogo, and the release of TFA but I'm frustrated nonetheless.

Now I am very confused. A few weeks ago I sent an email asking how I go about adding 12W+ to an order now that the Paypal payment is no longer an option. Melissa in Saberforge Customer Service replied, stating:

"The 12W+ has replaced the 12W, so when you place your order just be sure to select 12W and you will receive the 12W+."

Based on this reply, I went ahead and bought a Prodigal Son from the ETSY store last weekend, as they were recently re-listed there.

I sent another email to customer service the day after placing the order, just verifying that I will automatically receive the 12W+ LED, as the ETSY listing is for standard 12W, same as the main site.

Today, I received the following reply from Melissa:

"Hello! The 12W+ is currently unavailable."

So now I don't know which LED I will receive. The same cs rep has given me two different answers to the same question. One before the order and a completely different one after. I'm seriously debating cancelling my order until they can get this sorted out. I tried asking a question through ETSY on Tuesday, but haven't received a reply on there yet. Has anyone else received either response? Most of the forum posts I have seen said that they were also told that all 12W orders would now get 12W+ automatically. But I've also seen people say they've been told it is unavailable. Just trying to sort this out, as $400 is a lot of money to spend without knowing exactly what you'll receive...

Since you ordered through Etsy, before cancelling your order, I would advise awaiting a response through the CS covering the Etsy store on that specific question. To me, the "Hello! The 12W+ is currently unavailable." seems like an automated response, and the first sounded like an e-mail actually written by Melissa. Just be sure not to e-mail multiple times, as that resets the wait time for response with each new e-mail.

I totally understand your concern about not knowing for sure about a feature that is important to you, but until it enters the build phase, you have time to get the straight facts from Customer Service. Have faith my friend. These guys really do want to build you the saber you want, just the way you want it.

The 12W+ has not yet been officially released. So there is no guarantee that an order placed NOW will have a 12W+, though eventually the 12W+ will replace the 12W. We (CSRs) were originally told that it was happening faster than it is... so. Yeah.

At this point in time, the 12W+ has not been released and is not available for direct purchase.

Thank you for your replies. Brax, the response was part of a larger email where I had asked a few more questions, so it definitely wasn't an automated reply.

Looks like I'll be cancelling my order until the 12W+ is actually available. Bummer...

I suppose at this point I might as well wait for the new sound board as well.

I would read the advice literally, currently means right now (as at the date of the email). I have order that will take several weeks from right now, by which time I think 12w+ should be available. I am looking at after Easter time frame. Another factor is 12w+ is the standard for ASP, which is released next month in February, if I am not mistaken.

Well that's great. Canceling my order as well. Only placed it because Melissa told me 12W+ replaced 12W.

Cancelling your order NOW is wasting YOUR time on the lead times.

12W+ is not available NOW. As in today. They are replacing 12W.

12W+ has not been OFFICIALLY released. It is not available for DIRECT PURCHASE at THIS time.

Like... I really can't get any clearer without just yelling at you "YOU'RE GOING TO GET 12W+"....

Basically there's only like 2 or 3 colors even left in stock that we have that are 12W. 90% of the LEDs going out right now are 12W+. Hence why we stopped charging upgrade costs for 12W+. Cause you're already getting it. Don't pay us extra.

Thank you for that clear up Knytiri. I wanted to hear your response. I am glad the 12W+ is coming. I am excited for it, and with all things SF related we need to learn to be PATIENT

Super-de-duper thrilled on getting 12w+, though my saber is coming from the ASP where it was guaranteed, so yeah. Just need to get a few questions answered and I'll be be great. Really happy with how things are looking here at the forums and SF.

I'm all for being patient which is why I waited to hear back from their customer service on the 12W+ situation before I ordered my first SF sabers. I'm still going to cancel my order because who knows if the colors I chose could be in the 10% remaining 12W stock. If I'm dropping nearly $800 on two sabers I want to be guaranteed they will be 12W+. "Don't quote me on that" doesn't sound like a guarantee to me. I’ll be glad to increase my lead time for guaranteed 12W+ LED’s.

Hey guys I'm new this some I have a noob question. If I buy the warrior pack with only the hilt and the blade, still buy the sound board later to install it myself?

As I wrote at the top of this page (and quoted by Mr Knytiri), I have orders right now and that it makes sense to reason based on advice from SF to expect 12W+ in the coming weeks when my order reaches production then. Cancelling your order right now is simply wasting your own lead time.
