Hello everyone!
I am new in the saber forge community and I have some questions before buying.
I am pretty sure that for the majority those are "dumb" questions but I am really new to the lightsaber world and have no clue...

1) For the hilt finish, standard means "clear" and weathered means "dark" right? I’m sorry, english is not my mother tongue…
2) What is the belt clasp?
3) What is the LED quick connects?
4) I live in Israel, and here it happen that they “lost” the packages that don’t have a signature required delivery. Does the UPSP delivery does that?
5) Finally, if I go with the "warrior" pack, can I buy separately and add the my lightsaber the sound system? I don't have enough money for buying a "champion" pack in once.

Thank you all a lot in advance!

Lio-

1. Correct. The weathered version is the "dark" version.
2. The belt clasp is an item you purchase in addition to the saber. It allows you to hang the saber from your belt via the covertec knob that comes with every saber.
3. Only applies to sabers that are compatible with the quick connect system. What it means is you can purchase additional LED units and change the colour of your sabers blade at your leisure.
4. To my knowledge USPS requires a signature. You can also track your package through their website or their app. It'll be down to your local post service as to whether they "lose" it though.
5. Yes you can, from what I've seen it's very common to add soundboards to a warrior hilt. But not the tier below (can't remember what they call it.)

Hope this helps :) and if I've given any incorrect info, some one please feel free to correct me hahaha.

In the US, you have to sign for it. Once it goes out of the country from USPS to whatever Israeli shipping company, your guess is about as good as mine. I'm not sure who would actually deliver it to your door.

For sound... unless you've got the necessary skills and knowledge, you wouldn't be adding the soundboard to your saber yourself. You CAN send it back to SaberForge to have them upgrade it but in my opinion, if you want sound, save your money until you can a Champion. Way cheaper than paying for international shipping 3 times.

Thanks a lot for your answers!
It helped a lot!
For the LED quick connect, does it applies to the acolyte saber?
And it's still unclear for me if it's possible to add the sound system after... Because I don't see either on the website if the chip can be bought..
I don't want to send the saber back and paid 3 times the international delivery.

However, thanks a lot again!

I'm not sure about the acolyte. It may be in a drop menu when you look at it on the site or on Etsy. To my knowledge not all sabers are quick connect compatible. And yes the sound can be installed after you get it. But, like Miraluka said you need to have the knowledge to be able to install it yourself. To get SF to install it you'd need to email the guys and ship it back to them. But yeah, if you want sound really badly just save up for it; it'd probably save you money in the long run.

Okay thanks a lot! I'll check on the site for the quick connect.
I do want the sound badly :) So I'll save a little more money!

Last question and I stop bothering you guys:
When we have a saber with sound, can it be turned on/off and still have the led working?

No, the LED and soundboard are activated at the same time by the same switch. A saber could be made in such a way that there is a button for the sound, button for the blade and one that triggers both at the same time. But I honestly don't like your chances of finding such an item or even getting SF to customize it like that, it'd be way too much dicking around. And that kind of defeats the purpose of getting sound doesn't it? Hahahaha. If you want a saber with sound but also a saber that only has the LED then you're going to have to get two sabers.

You can mute the sound too. I have all champion level sabers, and they all have a sound level option. They cycle from low, high and mute. So you can turn on/off the saber w/o sound.
Also, I believe, the only sabers that can't have Quick Connects added, are the Thin Neck sabers. Initially, the Apprentice line was incompatible, but I'm pretty sure they remedied that.
Champion:
Blood Orange Venomous Fury
Deep Blue Exhalted
Yellow Gladius
White Silver Knight
Red Resiliant
Indigo Black Lotus
Green Bastion

I went with the 32" blade since I'm only 5'11. And because it's shorter the light has less distance to travel, so there won't be any dullness towards the end of the blade.

I'm 5'3" went for the full length anyways. The Sinister Prophecy is one of the hilts they have with almost 3 inches of the blade going inside it, so figured the 32" would be too short :O

I'm 5'9 and I was thinking going with a 32" blade.. Even if it means that I'll have to order via the official website and not etsy (but I'm ready to wait).
I saw there are two soundboard too, is there a difference between them?
(I'm sorry every time I say last question and I have others coming in...)

Actually I've emailed them about the blade specification on etsy orders. You can most definitely request your blade length in the order comments, so there is no need to order through the main site if you are trying to avoid the wait.

The different soundboards are SaberCore Crimson and SaberCore Viridium. SaberCore Crimson is more of a dark side soundfont. It has a deeper ignition sound and hum. But the main difference is that it has a lightsaber lockup/force lighting sound effect for the auxiliary button. SaberCore Viridium reminds me a lot of Luke's lightsaber sounds from Return of the Jedi. It has a very high pitched ignition. I believe it has different clash sounds than than Crimson. And the main difference is the auxiliary button. For Viridium it has a blaster bolt deflection sound effect (which Shameem pointed out to be the sounds of an AT-ST firing). My personal choice of the two is Viridium, but I really enjoy the crimson as well. I believe you should also specify which soundboard you want used in the order comments on etsy.

Hope this helps!

I'm 5'9" (69") and I prefer the 32" blade. The longer blade is, well, too long. It's usable but a little uncomfortable. Don't forget, these blades are thick and heavy. Longer blade puts the balance further away from the hilt. That was my biggest issue with the 37"

I have yet to receive my saber, but I also ordered mine with a 32" blade. This is much closer to the blade length of a Katana or Shinai (Kendo sword) which are used in the classes I teach. 37" blades are closer to the length of European blades, which in my admittedly biased opinion are a bit unwieldy.
