TOPIC: Gift certificates

So my family decided to give me a gift certificate for saberforge to purchase my first saber from here this year. Only problem is they havent gotten a coupon code or anything for me to use the certificate to purchase the saber. Have any of you had this problem before? also they got confirmation on the 22nd and it is now the 2nd of may, and still nothing. Thanks all help appreciated.

They get sent out with the order, if you got one with a saber, etc. If not, try contacting SF.

So you need to buy a saber first?
You can't purchase one on it's own? Because I don't mean this maliciously, but that's exactly what he did. He was going to use the certificate to buy a saber, not buy a saber for a certificate to go with it. |

You've done nothing to get banned for... lol
A little while back SF had a sale where they were giving gift certificates out for a certain amount with certain levels of purchases. I wasn't sure if he was one of them, which would mean he got his gift certificate with his order, or if he purchased it by itself. Which is why I advised he contact SF directly if it was the latter, and he still didn't have it (as the post seems to have been made a rather long time ago) |

I'm confused... why would buying a gift certificate be a mistake? There's no mistake in getting one.... they're worth exactly what you paid for.... and if you order them by themselves, you don't wait for them. So... again, where is the mistake in getting one?

I mean as in I don't want that to happen to me. I also have money to buy a saber so I won't need a certificate. Sorry about that. I didn't mean it as in it's a mistake to buy your products obviously. XD Sorry if I sounded hostile.

I don't think you were hostile, I was genuinely confused as to why it would be a mistake to purchase one.
Obviously, if you have the money, there's no need to get one anyway, but it might make a great gift idea, if you were going to buy a saber for someone else but weren't sure what they wanted, exactly.  I don't think you should let one isolated incident affect your decision, either. I mean, we never did find out the resolution of this particular circumstance and I've never heard any other issues about gift certificate errors (tho they could be out there, and just haven't reached my eyes/ears...). No matter what size company, or any other situations, there's always going to be times were things do not go perfectly and according to plan. It has been my experience and my observation that SF has always gone above and beyond to rectify any mishaps that have occurred. But, that's just my two cents on it. |
