Mine is the name of my Jedi on SWToR.

It is also a Rough Scrambling/Fake Latinization of my real name: Chris Tucker

Eddlyss (at his max age, which is currently in his late twenties) is a cynical yet humble Silver Knight. The deal with him is he was a Jedi Padawan until he left the Jedi Order following the trail of an escaped prisoner, a Sith apprentice trying to return to his father, a survivor of the Yuuzhan Vong war known as Darth Cathylk. I'm not saying much since I'm writing an EU trilogy and don't want to spoil it, but I will say it flows in after the Darth Caedus saga and before The Force Awakens, as though the EU following Ep VI was shrunk down and fit in between RoTJ and TFA.

I was sitting at my computer, wanting a better username (with less numbers) than Dude1277 (I was like 10 years old when I made that one, no idea what I was thinking.) Suddenly I thought, hey, RyanRising! That sounds nice, and doesn't make much sense either (I didn't want it to). I put a dash in this one because I tried to sign up as RyanRising, but never got any verification email. So I made a different account, and everything went as smooth as butter from there, and I get to post this.
The above post may be subject to editing. A lot of editing.

Rellik is Killer spelled backwards. It was also the name of a SW pnp RPG character of mine.

But for all the 'Darth' talk, I'd like to think I'm more Jedi than sith.

Are you going to share the story on here, by any chance? They've got the shiny new fan fiction sub forum now :) A trilogy, though, sounds epic! How long have you been working on it?

I may or may not try to publish it, or at least try to earn some money on it. I've been working on it since October, I believe. I've got around twenty five or so pages of the first book done (just barely getting into the actual plot), but I'm already planning how the second book will go. Still don't know how I want to write the third one, there are details in the second I'm not quite fond of.

Filius Secundus is the latin phrase for "second son". I am the second son in my family, and my father does translation of ancient latin texts. I'm also a huge fan of the InFamous games, and though i like the character Cole Macgrath better, InFamous second son, was an amazing game and one of my all time favorites.

P.S. IF you have a PS3 or PS4 and haven't played an InFamous game, PLAY THAT SHIIIIIIT!

You may not have guessed this, but I'm into music. Not just listening, but I play, compose, produce, mix, etc. These days I'm backing off from music more because it's very hard to get ahead anywhere. I tried playing locally and doing freelance work online for short films and indie games but it hasn't gone anywhere in 10 years. So I'm just doing it when it feels fun and focusing on other things like family stuff and...lightsabers!

When I was younger, my sister would always say to my mother "Mommy! Hold me!" As in asking for a hug. It always stuck with me. I eventually decided to start using it as my name for gamer tags and forums. I also use it on Twitch, many broadcasters tend to enjoy seeing the name. Always puts a smile on someones face. So that is the story of mine.

Hi all,

Great topic!

My forum name came as a result of my "Bucket List" in a way as I had always wanted a real Lightsaber since I was a kid. Well I celebrated a milestone birthday in my life in Dec and gifted myself a Lightsaber. Now the birthday you ask, which one?

My Fortieth, and I realised the word fortieth if spoken slowly sounded like FOR - TYETH, and so my character was born, For Tyeth.

This has also led to me writing a back story for a project I'm slowly putting together.

Kind regards,

For Tyeth

This is my default name for most things involving fantasy, role play or story telling. I ripped it from Shadow of the Hegemon where the main protagonist adopts the name while in hiding. If the book is to be believed (I've done a little research, but not been able to verify) it's a Thai name/phrase that connotes something to the effect of "in the urn, awaiting cremation", basically "dead man walking." I like it because it's adaptable. Easy to break apart, shorten, reconfigure for different settings/characters.

Ah, I always wondered about your nick (and how to pronounce it). I always kept saying "For-Tie-Eth" in my head.

Hi MusicallyInspired,

You are close enough with pronunciation! It is a bit like "You say potato, I say Potatoe"

I myself pronounce it as you thought (FOR-TIE-ETH),

Thanks,

For Tyeth
