Hello fellow Star Wars nerds! I have a lightsaber, made in 2007, that's breaking. Long story short, hitting it against a wood pole isn't a good idea. It has a few spots which don't light up anymore(one) and I would like to know how/ who the send it to to get it fixed. This saber is not from saberforge, it's from somewhere else. It's a replica of amicable skywalkers first lightsaber. It's also missing it's tip. If you could tell me where to/ how to fix it it would help me out a lot. Thanks!

Welcome to the SaberForge forum.

I moved this topic to this section because it was more subject appropriate.

Does the blade come out, and if so, is it held in by a retaining screw? If not, how is it held in?

Pictures would be great.

It sounds like he/she has a LED string blade saber, so probably a Hasbro FX, Master Replica, or even a Parks Saber. If the saber is either of the first two, it would be better to just go ahead and convert it to an in hilt LED using one of TCSS's conversion kits. If it is a Parks Saber (which has removable blades), you may be able to just by a new blade.

I can't get the pictures to work(sorry) but I can explain the saber. It's from master replicas, and it has a polyester blade and full sound. It has LED and it has an aluminum cast hilt, or maybe a steel hilt. Either way If you need a quick(bad quality) look it's my profile pic. Anyway, if you need more info I'll be happy to post more

Also I've been looking into the tcss conversion kit but I'm not sure if it would be the best option

That looks like Anakin's second lightsaber from what I can tell. His first looks a lot more like his lightsaber as Vader, but with a shiny silver-ish aluminum shroud.

...

I... uh, can't help you with the condition of the saber, though. Sorry.

^Correct. This looks like his ROTS saber. If it is a Master Replica (it would say it on the pommel along with a date of 2005, any date past this would technically be a lesser quality HasbroFX), then the blade won't be removable, so you'd have to take the whole thing apart (which is the hardest part of the conversion anyway) to be able to open the blade up and access the LED string to replace the broken ones. TCSS might have blade tips that work, if the blade is either 1", 7/8", or 3/4" in diameter.

As for who could fix it, maybe somebody like Shameem M. ( I'm not even going to try and spell his last name) or another independent sabersmith might be willing to take this on.

Its a 2007 Master Replicas saber. I thought it was Anikins first sword but I haven't watched the prequels in two years so it's hard to remember. Anyway, let's say i wanted to do this at home... What tools would I need? I'm guessing a screwdriver and an assortment of other parts to retrofit it but what specifically? Anyway, thanks for the help

Also, it has filiments in the blade, so it can light up blue. How do I remove those without breaking the blade
