..... I believe it was the Epoch or Reliant. Both are currently in the third iteration of their design and look nothing like the originals.

My head canon:
1st gen: The Epoch, Reliant, and the Asharad Hett hilt produced by Phil working solo(ish). 2nd gen: Introduction of apprentice sabers and original design SF hilts like the Grandmaster ver.1 and the Justicar. 3rd gen: SF branches off into canon/EU inspired hilts. 4th gen: Hilts switch over to having universal threading and components (ASP). If you think about it this way the Gladius was part of the "2nd" gen run of SF designs which was the first gen of SF saber to see mass production. The "1st" gen designs were produced in very limited quantities since it was, essentially, just Phil back then. |
